Baker Mayfield attempted a grand total of three passes, and didn’t hit any of them. This could be called “the mud bowl.” It poured rain for most of the game.

The play by play guys came off as Atlanta Falcon partisans. They bragged about how great their young quarterback had been the previous week. He had a horrible day with four interceptions. The guys who called the previous week’s game with Carolina did the same thing with their young passer. I think both commentators jinked them.

That whole thing with Mayfield was ridiculous, he was just trying to prove that he is an unselfish team guy, I wish they lost but Penix is horrible and Stefanski is a clown

Mayfield is a team guy. I’ve watched him run down the field to block for runners who well past the line of scrimmage. The trouble is he doesn’t always make the best judgements.

And, no , I don’t wish they had lost. They are the local team.

You’ll probably get your wish next week when Tampa plays the Bears in Chicago.

I think he was happy to not throw the ball because he has been awful this year and doesn't want to further expose himself as not great

He should be a team guy after all the money they paid him, if there was any interest from other teams offering him more money he would have been a "I'm their team guy"

The fact that Baker Mayfield plays hard led to his demise in Cleveland. He threw a bullet over the middle and Anthony Schwartz stopped in his tracks to avoid the inevitable vicious hit. After the INT Mayfield went for the tackle and hurt his shoulder.

Agreed, it's just weird to me that any QB would be happy to not complete a single pass in a game, but like I said he was probably fine with it since he couldn't throw a pick that way or lose a fumble

Knowing a team is just going to run and Stefanski couldn't solve that is hilarious though

I remember once when Bill Nelsen was the Cleveland QB, gimpy knees and all. He threw a pass downfield that went for an INT and it was being returned down the sideline with a large-bodied escort leading the way. Nelson was there to attempt a tackle and one of the blockers waved him outa the way.

Nelson took a few steps out of bounds and watched the play go past him. Classic!! 😂😂

Seahawks player makes a great play keeping the punt out of the end zone and then here comes stupid!

Given the rain and that he had to take off his special brace on his throwing hand from the weather he probably wasnt that comfortable throwing it that day anyway. They basically moved him to shotgun to protect his thumb on the snaps.

That really is funny in the saddest way. How do you not just stack the box and force them to beat you in the air? Realistically the best thing the Falcons can do at the point iis just lose out. Barely sneaking into the playoffs and being 1 and done just screws their draft position

i have been doubting my team and i really need to stop it. i fully expected a regression this season, and it is not happening. i was beyond stoked when we hired Johnson, but that hiring has exceeded even my lofty expectations. i'm nothing short of amazed at how solid of a HC he is, and i owe him an apology for allowing negative thoughts to creep into my head. not only has he elevated Caleb's play, but our defensive unit is not the achilles heel that many -- including moi -- thought they would be this season.

    i don't think we're going anywhere

We fixate on the positive while remembering that all it takes is one brutal hit to turn a quarterback into a speed bump.

none taken. i always call it like i see it, even if my fandom is in play.

i posted after week 1 that this experiment was not going to work. out of the 10 or so plays i saw of him before he got knocked out against Green Bay, i saw the exact same Kyler Murray that i witnessed in his final few years in Arizona. a carbon copy.

it was a golden opportunity for him in Minnesota, and he just doesn't have it. if you can't get it done with that supporting cast, you can't succeed anywhere. i think this signals the beginning of the end for him as an NFL QB.

i said about a week ago that they should get Jonathan Taylor. strike that. go get Kirk Cousins from the Raiders. whatever it takes. the guy is balling in Vegas this season. what a story that would be if they reunited with him and won a chip.

No offense to You being a fan but I was simply sitting back waiting for Kyler Murray to turn into Kyler Murray

Maybe if "Kyler Murray" would become "Arthur Murray" he could "dance" out of the pocket and get down field... :D

I have not watched Jacksonville play a down this season. are they the real deal or smoke and mirrors? they are blowing teams out.

George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.

Tough to tell, they haven't beat anyone who is good really

They smashed us but I feel that was an anomaly of a game but NFL wins are wins so I'm going with they are one of the top tier teams in the AFC

holy cow, I guess i have watched them play more than one down of football this year...

I must have subconsciously erased it from my mind. and yes, they did smash us!

just saw the report about Treveyon Henderson. really weird. I had heard a few trade rumors with him in them. I wonder if this is why?
