Barber 50c counterfeit

This Barber half was at a Massachusetts shop, weighed right but clearly a fake. Has anyone else come across one of these?

    Omg, if the lettierng isint a dead give away. What a fugly looking thing 😳

    That's really neat, and probably has some decent value. It's listed in Winston Zack's recent book on contemporary counterfeits, with a comment that it's struck in sterling silver.

    Great for passing in a poorly lit saloon of the era (and there were a lot of them).

    That might be worth taking a look at 🤔, just for the extra smarts
