Tide has gone out......Who was swimming naked?
Now we find out if your dealer is an honest man............
If you took a check to hold for any period of time or any other promise of future payment for the silver coins you sold last week will you see your $$?
Is check still good at price as written?

Simply, yes it would be. Why wouldn't it.
If they wrote you a check to hold and silver went up another $50/oz. in the mean time, would they be expected to write you a new check?
Your word and reputation are worth more than precious metal.

I agree, but that's you and me. Not everyone cares about their reputation.
I paid about $2,500 for a one ounce American Gold Eagle a year and a half ago becuase I wanted to collect the "eagle head reverse" bullion coins. I also bought this for 3% over melt, I sold the one I got from the mint because it had die polishing and was ugly. Beyond that, I have not made any other bullion purchases in this inflated market.
Who knows if the game is over? If China still wants to buy gold and depress the value of the dollar, it will continue.
