CAC Ratt SLQ, 1926-D

I have been wanting a CAC Ratt SLQ for a while. I have seen a couple non-CAC Ratts show up for sale but never a CAC Ratt (a requirement). If someone has a pipeline to these let me know.
As soon as I saw this coin I had to have it. I know I have said that a lot lately, but the collection these all came from was that kind of collection. Great luster, hint of toning and very few marks to be seen. I think it is great for the grade. It even has a nice obverse die crack for this crack addict ![]()

The die cracks you are seeing on the obverse are really common for the 1926-D SLQ, but in this example you also have a very strong (relative for the issue) head. These often come as dish-heads and look like someone depressed them to squish them real good. It looks nice.
In honor of the memory of Cpl. Michael E. Thompson
@TomB is 100% on point (as usual) on the "dish-heads" for this issue, and the relative strength of the head here. Nice look!
But I have to ask ... What, no gold CAC? You're slipping.
“We are only their care-takers,” he posed, “if we take good care of them, then centuries from now they may still be here … ”

Thanks @TomB . I need to do more research on SLQ's. I appreciate you comments.
Yes @pursuitofliberty , I slipped on this one but will make up for it on the next ones that I post

Nice coin and even better holder and sticker!! Rattlers with stickers are a good combo!! The 1926 D was the first SLQ that I ever bought, but mine is not a rattler nor even an OGH. It’s my only 63 and my others are 64 and 65. I bought it before the boom and it has since appreciated in value.

It's the "starless shield" variety. More so than most others of that particular date and mint.

@BuffaloIronTail Thanks for the dig. It’s no worse than most. This is a typical example. FYI-A fully struck example is a five figure coin.

@pcgscacgold, nice near full head strike, rattler and CAC and near gem. Wanna leave some of these for the rest of us!
I have seen your SLQ posts @jfriedm56 You are doing very well despite all my finds
