Interesting pickup at the NYINC show

While Scarsdale Coin doesn’t set up at the New York International Numismatic Convention, it’s right in our backyard—so we always attend. We were there primarily to drop off coins to dealers from pre-show transactions, but along the way we came across this beauty: a Hibernia silver pattern farthing from the Ford Collection, graded PCGS MS65 and CAC-approved

Wow first silver Hibernia I’ve ever seen, cool!
I like the older Holder with the ford province too.

It's all about what the people want...

I had to look it up. Very cool.

It is derived from the native Celtic name for the island and its people, but influenced by the Latin hībernus, as though it meant "wintry land". The name Hibernia or Ibernia as a name for Ireland dates back to the 1st century BC, when Julius Caesar used it in his Commentarii de Bello Gallico.
