I'm Going Off the Rails on a Silver Train

BuffaloIronTailBuffaloIronTail Posts: 7,699 ✭✭✭✭✭

Silver over 90 bucks. I don't know what to think about this, but according to what's been said lately about demand, it seems that there's no immediate end to this rise.

What to my "Roomies" think about this?

Not getting off, but Pumped the brakes a bit.
I helped my local new coin shop pay his rent and light bill :D
A little more info on their buy sell spread, they were $6 back of spot this morning. ($5 yesterday)
I shed a few pounds this morning and spot promptly went up $2.

I have used the opportunity to take some profit from bullion and hopefully will get something nice for my registry sets.

Much of my non-numismatic collection is premium silver. I quit buying a whole lot of that when silver hit $18 in 2022. I did sell some 90% Washington quarters and Roosevelt dimes when it hit $30 last year to help pay for my surgery out of pocket costs. No regrets, it was all found in circulation over the years, but I don't plan on doing anything else regardless of how high it goes. I like my silver,

I bought 9 certified MS70 SAEs via CC a few weeks ago for $66/oz (including shipping) when spot was about $72. At the same time I failed on a similar play for a few ounces of gold (dealer cancelled the old listing after my order). I was informed in this forum that I'm a terrible person for that bargain hunt.

This was made by the Gallery Mint, using the dies Ron Landis used for his hobo nickels.

Old timers were waiting for the major pull back (I was) but with each passing day I’m getting convinced it might not happen. I hadn’t purchased anything for my stack after $30…until two weeks ago in the $80 range still thinking it would be quite a while before break even. Now I’m not so sure it’s going to be a long while. Right or wrong my dollar cost average is under $30 so I don’t watch the rollercoaster ride with dread.

The longer I live the more convincing proofs I see of this truth, that God governs in the affairs of men. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without His notice is it possible for an empire to rise without His aid? Benjamin Franklin

I sold over 100 ounces not to long ago. I hold no grudge because I advertised it in the BST and I did well at the time. It irks me when I think I should have held it but I didnt know.
I believe silver is heading to $150ish. I honestly do.
