Sales thread question
Has there ever been a for sales thread on this forum that had many good/expensive items for sale? The one currently available does not seem that popular. I can count on one hand the number of high grade vintage cards I have seen for sale. You would think with the good amount of high quality collectors that read this board there would be many high end cards for sale.
Years ago I collected CGC comics and the for sale forum on the CGC website would have many high value keys for sale. On a weekly basis I would see posts selling Amazing Spider Man #1-#10, FF #1, X-Men #94, and many more keys for sale. Prices were usually a bit under FMV since there were no fees being charged.
IMO having a similar forum on this website would be a great way for sellers and buyers to get a nice item at a good price for both parties. For those of you who have read and posted here for many years was the sales thread ever a popular thread with many nice cards for sale?

I was not here at the time but it has slowed as new media has taken over - Facebook, Instagram, Snap, etc.
Message boards were once the internet’s playground but invariably bad actors come in and change the scape and people look for new ways to congregate that leaves some of the riff raff behind.
I’m still here, mind you, but this is the reported refrain from veteran and former members/posters.
Plus, it’s not exactly free speech here as it is a company website so critics too far out of line or too zealous in their criticisms have tended to get the boot.
Hope it helps your understanding of the situation; for information purposes only. No animals were harmed in the curation of this answer.

The Buy, Sell & Trade activity has been happening here for many years. As I recall, in the old days quite a few participants were helping each other to acquire items they needed to fill gaps in Registry sets, player collections, hard-to-find stuff, etc. It was active and plenty of good stuff traded hands. As mentioned above, other forms of commerce have taken over, and most folks are in it for the bucks. So it goes.
I used to do intermittent fasting because I was worried about overconsumption. Nowadays, I do intermittent slowing by taking naps in between naps in between naps after a good night's sleep.
PSA sells on eBay. I think they own an auction house too? Sales here don't make money for PSA.
