More to the point, without the gold shield label?
Second question, can you get a gold shield reholdered without the gold shield label?

Did you happen to ever get an answer on this?
are you running from bad photos??
Unless you are slabbing a stolen coin with distinctive toning or contact marks, why wouldn't you want a True View?

A bad photo will hurt value
I have had the same question, actually, and it's basically because I am not a big fan of "True View" photos on certain kinds of coins.

I wish PCGS had photos posted for every coin it has graded. It is a major defense against counterfeit coins and slabs.
I have seen some in dealer inventories so I'd assume they could on request.
In the past I have reached out to PCGS when a truly horrible and non-representative TrueView was on their site and they have removed the image for me.
