Earlier Walker, Earlier Holder
Made a long overdue visit to the SDB and spotted a forgotten coin whose label jumped out at me as looking unusual. I think this is the 3.0 holder and label, issued in the early 1990’s? Somewhere between the rattlers and the later OGHs I’m more familiar with.

Yes, this holder is a Gen 3.0, used from January 1990 to February 1993.
Not only is that a great old holder for an early walker, but that is an amazing strike for a ‘29S!!! The better ones (such as this) have been mostly harvested, years ago, and are in newer, higher graded slabs, now. Definitely gets my seal of approval!!
Sometimes, it’s better to be LUCKY than good. 🍀 🍺👍

Oh Man! I like that a lot! I'd say you should visit that SDB more often!
Here is mine in an older NGC slab. Great strike, too, with cool die polish lines.

Greg- Very few have an eye like yours. I appreciate what you gave to me, your time and energy, when I was building my sets.
Awesome coin and awesome holder.

It was my pleasure! Those were the good ol’ wheeling and dealing days….boy there are some early walkers I’d love to have back, with the prices they are commanding now.
That’s a great 29S, Walkerfan!
Aint that the truth...
Some of my old ones are being auctioned now as "Betty's Walkers"... It is hard to see the provenance lost and Betty (I am sure she is a great person) on the slab...
Those 23-s's Oh my... I still have some of your XF i.e. the 1919 in the Old NGC holder... But some of those.. Oh My
Oh well.. It was either sell or go to jail.. I chose freedom
LOL
@Walkerguy21D Thank You. It came from a very old NGC Registry set. I Bought it in 2011, when the set was finally dispersed,. Your set predates mine and was an early inspiration to me, when I began mine in 2005. I still value your opinion to this day.
