Seeing the ultra rare 1894-S Barber dime in the just received Great Collections 2026 Calendar made me pull out my poor sister 1894-O. Guess the grade.

Looks MS64? Bet that rim color really pops in good light.

Either really choice or gem uncirculated. 64+ or 65, putting a number on it. I really don't see anything wrong this piece that keeps it from being called a gem. If I owned this coin I would consider it the centerpiece of my dime collection for sure. Of the regular business strike Barber dime issues, only 1895-O commands more money in the condition the '94-O seen here is in. These are scarce as hen's teeth. Thanks for sharing here. :)

She looks nice! I'm going to guess MS63. Much nicer than my XF45.

Extremely nice eye appeal. Just short of a 65 obverse, so a 64.

I am very new at Barbers and do not collect uncirculated but will guess MS-64 based on the amount of luster and adjusting for the small nick in front of liberty's face. james

It looks like it is either AU58 or MS63.
    I will guess AU58.

I would be shocked if our hosts here gave only AU 58 to this piece. What initially might look like slight wear really isn't. It's strike softness, imo, commonly seen on NO Barber dimes.

MS63 would be my person grade, the faint ticks in the fields. Probably a 64 by PCGS. Either way, I like the patina it's got going on. Very nice!

Thank you everyone for participating. There were 33 comments with grades ranging from AU58 to MS66. The bulk of the grades were tied between MS63 and MS64 with each of those two grades also having having one +

    The coin is MS63 CAC.

My goal is a partial date and mint set of MS64 to MS66 Barber Dimes. I'm excluding the ones that appear to be over valued by the price guides. The 1894-O was one of those coins I meant to exclude. However, there are a few MS63 Barber dimes that are really nice. Most of them are available in MS64 for a small increment in price. Not the 1894-O where the price doubles in MS64.

    HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!
