Coin with right variety but wrong coin number on label/system

I was looking up some of my coins on the cert verification tool, and noticed something wrong with one of them that I can't believe I hadn't noticed before. I have a 1795 Two Leaves dollar that is noted as "2 Leaves" on the label, but uses coin number 6852 (3 leaves). Sure enough, on PCGS's cert verification tool it lists this as a 3 leaf variety (the coin is, in fact, a two leaf). What's more, the coin is CAC stickered, and on CAC's system it does list it as a 2 leaf variety.
I'm not planning to sell this coin, so there's no immediate concern, but I'm a little worried about the mismatch if I ever do want to sell it down the road. Have others run into a similar issue before? How have you handled this? The fact that it's stickered makes it a bit more difficult than just a relabel by PCGS.

Interesting situation. I have a very similar issue with a CBH. It's a 1827/6, but is shown as a regular 1827. PCGS Certified and CAC stickered.
I'll be interested in what others say. There are two options that come to mind for me. Back to PCGS, and then back to CAC, or send to CACG.

If it's a mechanical error, they _should _fix it for free, contact customer service and request a shipping label.

In the same vein. if you know the TPG company has identified a coin as the wrong variety and you win it in an auction. Will they reslab for free if you bring it to their attention and send it in? James
Sure, but even if PCGS would fix it for free, I'd end up losing the CAC sticker in the process. pursuitofliberty's idea of cross to CACG is interesting.
Yes. I cherried an 1855/54 off of Great Collections labeled as an 1855 and PCGS changed the label for free with the help of PCGS_Hy.
The wrong coin number would bother me as well, definitely see if they will fix it for free…

Not sure if you are considering a reholder at PCGS due to the CAC sticker, but just in case:

Thanks for the tip - I'm not thinking a straight PCGS reholder because of the CAC sticker - but maybe there's something they can do on the backend ... the label does say "2 leaves" even with the 3-leaf coin ID. I'd be happy if they could correct the cert lookup and leave the holder alone. Worth a shot
