Let's see those Rattlers with Gold CAC stickers

As I began my search for Classic Commems I came across two Gold CAC Rattlers at CRO. Neither is a Commemorative, but both have an outstanding look in hand. Lucky to have acquired these two from John. I am hoping to acquire more like these when they become available.

I know some of you have a lot of Gold stickers (50, 75, 100+). Post as many as you can, knowing I wish I had started buying these 5 years ago when the idea first came to mind.

@DRUNNER , posting photos is really hit and miss here. Sometimes they load and sometimes they fail.

Fantastic @DarkStar I almost picked up a Lib QE with a gold sticker but there was a mark I couldn't get past. The holder is fun but the coin has to be great like yours.

@Kliao With two like that, you are excused. Nice. Wish mine came with the card. I am guessing the dealer kept them to use for another coin. Too bad, would have liked having it.

If you send into CAC stickering, you can request a replacement card. Just attach a note with the paperwork. I did that before for a coin that I had bought that did not come with a card and they sent me a replacement back along with my sub.

Not a CAC gold, but David Hall saw this rattler at a Long Beach show roughly 10 years ago and said it would easily upgrade nowadays. Anyone want to guess what it was originally graded (and if you feel like it, throw in what you think it would grade today)?

@SkyMan My WAG, since it appears DH thought it was undergraded, was in a 58 and now a 64???

Originally a MS 63. I've owned it for 35ish years, and it's still in its original rattler.

My guess was 62/3, now 64+, and probably a good shot at 5 on the @Skyman coin. If the color pops like the image, that is a fantastic coin. Well, it appears to be a fantastic coin no matter.

Haha thanks, I'm more of a lurker normally, but figured I'd try my hand at making a post. I absolutely love capped bust rattlers. The chase is slow, but so rewarding.

Now THAT is impressive because it shows your ability to spot under-graded coins. Simply buying a gold-bean coin means very little beyond wanting to collect holdered coins with gold stickers.

So an AU-58 with a CAC gold is at least an MS-60 right at least according to CAC? That tells me they disagree with PCGS and say the coin in Uncirculated

Yes, CAC believes a coin with a certified grade of AU58 that they award a gold sticker to is actually a mint state coin. I had JA call me one time at my office when he placed a gold sticker on an AU58 Barber half dollar I submitted to explain to me he thought the coin was MS62 or better so I wouldn't be confused. I thought that was very nice of him.

Thanks. The last time I checked the pop report, there were around 1600 gold cac silver commems. I currently own about 120 of them.

Thanks. I only started in February of last year. In just that short time, prices have seriously escalated and the supply has definitely dwindled.

Thanks @pcgscacgold. I know of a few people shooting for a CAC rattler commem set. The Lexington and Hawaiian seem to be the stumbling block.

I don't think it is among the rattlers, but do you an image of your Connecticut with a gold sticker, @pointfivezero? That has always been my favorite commem and it would just be neat to see.
