FWIW: I sent an email to the ANA, asking if it was possible to see coverage and pricing details on Hugh Wood safe deposit box insurance before becoming an ANA member. An ANA person responded promptly, but rather than answering my question, the person simply sent a link to the Brown & Brown website. As others have noted, Hugh Wood is now Brown & Brown (B&B).
The B&B website, however, provides limited information on their policies, and provides no ability to get an immediate online quote. So I used their online "request a quote" form. Today, seven days later, I've received no response. B&B might be a good outfit, but they don't seem too anxious to obtain new business. So I'll stick with SDBIC for my needs.
When I've called them, they will in my experience get back to you, within a few hours or days. I've communicated with the same person each time.
I've had a policy with them on two occasions. Had one, canceled, and then renewed when I considered my collection valuable enough again which I still have.
Still, I don't like dealing with them. When I renewed, I was asked to mail a check presumably to save the CC or debit card fee, which never arrived. After I told them it would be helpful if they operated in the 21st century (literally as it was annoying), they sent me an email with a payment link, and that's how I paid this year at renewal.
Unless I am missing something, they don't have a useful website to do anything for the policy. I've had to call them to do anything.

I received a brochure from the ANA yesterday as I recently reactivated my membership. In the “ANA Partners” section of the brochure for collection insurance, they don’t even mention B&B. Instead, “Risk Strategies” is the listed partner.
Edit: I just went to the Risk Strategies website ( www.riskstrategies.com ), and it redirects to B&B. Guess it’s one and the same.
Superb collections are built more by omission than by addition.

I had never considered getting insurance, but as I sit in the bank right now, wondering whether it is prudent . First, they asked for an ID which should standard course, but as largely been omitted because I am such a known commodity. Apparently there were some “issue” that caused them to tighten up their standards. They said it was a paperwork issue, but as they sorted through the signature cards, they can no longer find mine and now I’m waiting in the lobby, waiting to speak to a manager.
I am sure this is just a paper work shuffle snafu, but it does make you wonder when you cannot get access to your box
Signature cards, does the current and the future generations even know how to write script, lol. Since most states have a picture driver's license you would think that is sufficient to get in to your SDB. Even the SDB opening forms in the future will have digital PDF signing.
I don’t go through the signature card thing anymore, which to be honest all seemed rather archaic.
Now it’s a request for my license, they take a pic of it with a tablet, you input your SSN into their card reader, they futz around with the request, then they let me in.
This tells me the feds are getting a heads up whenever you access your box, for better or worse.

Really—you guys are that paranoid you have insurance on your safe deposit box? From what and FBI seizure—probably not covered.
