Bought my First Cameo Proof Yesterday.

For some unexplainable reason, I was drawn to this pretty little Three Cent Nickel piece. Dipping my foot into a new pool of cameo proof coinage.

You’re right and it only took one!
Beautiful little 3 cent!
Congrats!
Nice coin. I too only have one 19th century proof. It too is a 3c Nickel.
Lovely.
Seeing frosted proof coins simply gives me the chills.
Tasty coin.
Great coin! Cameo proofs are my fave 😋

Congratulations! Most important, the coin is beautiful!
Of interest, but less important, is the following, that I learned about a decade ago:
For PCGS Registry point purposes, Proof CAM coins often provide amazing value:
If you click on the hotlink in my auto signature below to my #2 ranked Dansco 7070 set (ranked behind #1 D.L. Hansen of course), you’ll see my set has ten Proof CAM’s. I believe in every one of those cases, that coin is less costly than the same Registry point MS counterpart one whole grade higher (and as noted, in my opinion, my proof CAM, with its highly lustrous mirrors and stronger strike, has nicer eye appeal than its MS counterpart one grade higher).

Lovely piece. Well done!

My thanks to all of you who responded with your kind words and support for my new endeavor. I’m looking forward to enhancing this new adventure with even more spectacular cameo proofs!
Nice one Zack.
