Forum guessed VF35 exactly on this one - exactly one grade high.
I didn't guess because I had an opportunity to purchase it a few years ago. Very original surfaces but I couldn't get pass the old staple scratches.
In addition, if you zoom in you can see the end of what appeared to be gold wire on the obverse rim between 11 and 12 o'clock and at 2 o'clock. I was confident that I could remove the gold wire but I was very afraid the coin would come back scratched when resubmitted.
