1941 planchet reuse in 42?
Going through some of my wheats tonight I stumbled across this what I hope some of you will say is a rare gem and how often does it occur. The part that has me somewhat confused is why is the stamping in a reverse order from the second strike. I see two places at brief glance with this error the date of course and what looks to be a partial liberty on Lincoln’s head. Any information anyone can share would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Mutilated coin. Somebody squeezed two different cents together in a vise. Throw it away.
That sounds about right. With my luck I figured it wasn’t going to be a great find by any means. Thank you
CaptHenway, is this something that happens frequently? I guess that also explains why the date is backwards as that’s how it would press it.
It happens as frequently as someone chooses to do it. Get a vice and a roll of cents and you can make 50 of them in an hour.

I like the little heart residing in the tp's door.
I mean the 4.
What ?
It's a rare gem that often does occur.
Is that better than a common gem that rarely occurs?

Merry Christmas everyone, I'm new to coin and only starting my 3rd week of looking at coins, so that's a planchet error, thank you for sharing
not a planchet error
i notice the "41" is over the original "42" and "42" is not disturbed.
this may be glue
