FS Error wheat penny?

Might this be a mint laminating error? and why the date punch- official rejection or home workshop? Education needed and greatly appreciated.

Welcome, I hope that members can provide the answers, but Iβm gonna guess no, and home workshop.
@chrisgr You're going to be disappointed in the responses you get without posting pictures
Fixed that for you.

Thanks! Now whereβs the info, o expert ones?
Welcome to the forum.
The coin suffered damage after it was minted.

I must be psychic.
Coin was hit with a punch of some kind which created a depression on the obverse and a corresponding protrusion on the reverse.
You're welcome,
Damage Expert
The Damage Expert forgot to notice that the coin was flattened prior to being struck with said punch.
@chrisgr could you describe what the terms "FS Error" and "mint laminating error" mean to you? There is nothing in your pictures that suggests anything other than damage (and a lot of it). You must be using those terms to mean something other than the way that everyone else uses them?
I think you mean forgot to "note", not "notice". In fact, I did neither. He asked about the "date punch". I gave a succinct answer. If you'd like to write a 5000 word essay on all the different damage in that coin, go ahead.
Further "damage expert" was a poke at the OP (see their prior post), nothing more.
I get it. You don't like me. That's fine. But next time you want to call me a nit picker (or @MFeld ), you might just look in the mirror. And the next time you want to accuse me of arguing for the sake of arguing, you might just look in the mirror.
Hey @IkesT , JBK just found his first protΓ©gΓ©. Let's all congratulate him.
the parallel scratches are from abrasions of some sort
No, I meant exactly what I said. But thanks anyway for trying to tell me what I meant.
And you are incorrect about what the OP asked about.
He asked "Might this be a mint laminating error? and why the date punch".
Note the "and". There were multiple issues he was asking about.
Yes, I understood that. That's why I capitalized it exactly as you did. It was a poke at your poke at the OP, "nothing more".
There is no reason for me to look in my mirror to find the nitpickiest person on the forum, or the most argumentative person, or the person most determined to have the last word.
BTW, I don't recall accusing you of "arguing for the sake of arguing", at least not in a long time, so you are probably confusing me with someone else (or multiple people?).
Cant we all just get along?

That's probably true. I'm sure you recognize yourself without the mirror.
If you meant nothing by "Coin Expert", then I apologize for that. But given our history, you can understand why I may have jumped to the wrong conclusion.
Yes, numerous people have chosen arguments with me to convince me that I just like to argue. Irony is, apparently, dead.
I NOTICED the question about the lamination. However, it is unclear what he meant by that so I chose not to NOTE anything about it. You know how i like to be succinct in all my responses. π
No it's not.
Lol. Then perhaps it just goes UNNOTICED.
No it doesn't.
NOTED.
What's with the words? Not a single meme?
Itβs a shame that from time to time, long-standing members > @jmlanzaf said:
Did you mean βNOTICEDβ? π

I "dis" not. π
Oh, you were too fast for me with the edit. Lol
Sorry, my bad.
