1829 capped bust half dollar

Can you tell from these pics if this coin has been harshly cleaned? What do you think a good retail price would be for it?

Very fine details, maybe an $80 coin.
The coin doesn’t appear to be harshly cleaned. And unless the images are masking an issue, I think that if it were submitted for grading, it would straight grade. A retail price in the $100 range would seem reasonable to me.

I've usually seen that type of surface mottling from over-dipping a coin; but hard to tell with the pictures worse even than mine.

Easy straight grade VF-35 to me. I see no issues and would buy it as problem-free from these photos. $80-$100 is a solid range as mentioned before.

I also see it as a straight-grade coin and am surprised at the degree of negativity in other posts. I view straight-grade Bust Halves almost every week that are noticeably less original looking than this coin. I also think it has claims to XF40.

Not sure if it's been messed with. The image is suspect, so an in-hand inspection would be required. I'm not convinced either way, but it does seem like it might be "boinked" a little. Although again, that image is rough.
It certainly has strong VF/EF details. As a details coin, it might still be worth 75. to 80. retail. If it would straight-grade, I would suspect you could add 35 to 50. to that raw, more in a PCGS holder.

I've seen a lot of coin photos, but this one has me baffled. What is the weird pattern I'm seeing? It's like somebody put a paisley print onto of the coin....What the heck?
I don’t know what’s causing that appearance but I think I’ve seen similar for some other coins here I’m not certain but think it might be something in the imaging rather than on the coins.
