Seems like a lot 6 weeks out.

The show isn't for 10 weeks - what calendar are you using?

The one where the show is in the beginning of August, as it used to be. Plus, even then, I miscounted by two weeks.

    Sorry, you're right. 10 weeks, not 6.

I'll be sure to post the same question this time next month. I'm sure the numbers won't change that much. My other question about the size of the show floor was not based on time. Any response to that, or just to my faulty calendar?

The Exhibit Hall at the OKC Convention Center is 200,730 sq. ft. I have no idea, nor do I care how that compares to previous show venues. You wouldn't care either except you want this show to be a failure so badly, just because it is being held in a place you don't like for some bizarre reason. At any rate I hope you can attend, maybe we can change your mind about Oklahoma. I also hope you have the opportunity to see an NBA Championship Trophy while you're here. Go THUNDER!

I don't "want" anything. I just think it was a mistake to have it there. Once the decision was made,I truly wish them nothing but the best.

I was just asking a question. Not about the square footage of the hall, but about the number of booths they set up, given how many they still have available, at all price points.

No need to change my mind about OKC. I'm sure it's lovely.

Just a bit off the beaten path for me. And, too expensive and too much of a PITA for me to get to to justify the trip.

Given that I live in a major population center, I know I am not alone, which is the only reason I think it was a mistake. Not because I have anything against OKC. Or the Thunder, who truly do appear to be a bit overrated right now.

If that's true, I'd hate to see your comments if you really did want it to be a failure. However, if you truly wished them nothing but the best you wouldn't keep harping on it.

I harp because that's what I do. Both positive and negative. Just look at my posts on new US Mint releases.

I collect coins. I want the hobby to thrive.

I want PCGS and NGC to thrive. I want the ANA to thrive. I want FUN to thrive.

I want all shows to thrive. So you don't ever have to worry about seeing my comments if I "really wanted" anything to be a failure.

I'm just not a rah-rah cheerleader no matter what. As a result, there will be times that I do not think certain things will be successful, unless you are going to define success as they opened doors and a few people showed up.

Nashville in 2023 was one example of that. The result was obvious going in based on how they were treating the public leading up to the show. I honestly do hope they do better this time around, but they only had one chance to make a first impression, and they blew it.

Same with GACC, but the people behind that have a ton of experience in the space, so Tampa might have been a one-off (although the same caveat about first impressions applies here as well), and they might actually be able to leverage the gift the ANA gave them in OKC this year into a successful second shot in Rosemont.

And, finally, yeah, ANA OKC WFOM 2025. Die hards who will travel far and wide for any annual ANA coin fest will show up. As will people within driving distance. And, of course, people politically connected to the ANA and its leadership, and some dealers who simply have to make an appearance, even if it ends up costing them time and money. Very few others will make the trip when they have other choices, and when they don't think it will be worth their while.

Success will be in the eye of the beholder. People will attend, and they will have excuses for why attendance won't match Orlando, Rosemont or Pittsburgh (weather, fear of weather, connecting flights, negative perception, etc.). I wish them well.

What's the LOL for? If it's about the Thunder, I said I hope, and it ain't over yet.

I’m rooting for the Thunder but it’s not looking good. They blew game one and lost a close game last night.

I usually give a poor first impression event a second chance if I feel they had to get the "bugs out". And if I feel the promotors are genuinely trying. Sometimes they may even throw in a perk on their second attempt at a positive event.

There was a Thunderstorm in OKC tonight. I guess the THUNDER weren't as overrated as you thought. Maybe the WFOM in OKC won't be as bad as you think either.

We can only hope. All they needed was 7 games and an injury to the opponent's best player. So, yes, the Thunder needing all that to beat the Pacers does indeed make them very overrated.

Hopefully the ANA won't have to go to such extraordinary lengths to have a good show. Because merely being able to say that the WFOM was the best show in the country during the week of August 18th won't be saying much.

Definitely plan to be there unless I am sent by the military to the Middle East... events of today (6/23/2025) with Iran being relevant.

I plan to hang out with Jeff Shevlin and Bill Hyder (the So Called Dollar Crowd).

For any dealers or collectors with cool Exonumia... if for sale ... PLEASE bring it along ! I will be at Jeff Shevlin's table helping him. Bill Hyder, being an avid collector of Edward Sawyer Medals, would love it if you bring by any for sale.

As a complete aside, I think air traffic control school is there in Oklahoma City ... per Paul Williams at Holabird Auctions...

As of today, there are 57 bourse tables to be sold. This year there are 25 less bourse tables than last year in Rosemont. Will probably not be a sellout this year.

    Select - 6
    Premium - 4

Yes - decided to attend yesterday. I had my doubts when the location was first announced, but recently there seems to be lots of momentum regarding both attendees & dealers getting on board. I had no trouble with flights - SFO to SLC to OKC. Accommodations fine; couldn’t book the Omni but got a nice alternative within easy walking distance.
I haven’t attended the WFOM since it was in SF 20 yrs ago!

Is there a way to see which dealers will be attending the Oklahoma show, and what their specialty area is? For example, something like "ABC Coins, Morgan Dollars" or "XYZ Numismatics, Ancient Roman"?

I did see the PDF floor plan for the show on the ANA site, but I did not see a "dealers attending" list. But maybe I missed it. Thx.

Dang. 5 hours away, that's not too much of an issue, if I stay overnight. Other than the obvious, (tons of coins to look at and maybe buy) what else is there that is a 'must see" in that area or Little Rock to OKC corridor?

Other sites to see on the way or way back: In Bartlesville you have Woolaroc which is the old Frank Phillips (of Phillips 66 fame) ranch with a herd of bison.

…and so much more. That place ignited my love of history. Phillips was an avid collector of Native American artifacts, antique colt firearms, bronze sculptures, art, among other things. It really is an incredible place and feels like stepping back into the Old Frontier, beautiful location too.

Highly recommended to anyone passing through.

You missed one section of Select - There are a total number of 16 tables available in the 2 sections of Select. Nevertheless, we are 4 weeks out and the number of tables available keeps going down. Same as last year, it is possible that there will be no tables available by show time.

Tables available as of July 20:

    Economy - 4
    Select - 16
    Premium - 4
    Utra Premium - 2
    Mint Promenade - 1

    27 tables remain:
