    Bottom line---it appears to be a very nice business strike Indian quarter eagle that is lightly circulated and would grade AU. I'm not sure why you would think that it's a proof unless you are new to collecting gold coins and the seller told you it was a proof.

    He never told us what he paid for it. He may have bought it at a great price even though it's not a proof.
