250 years ago today, the battles of Lexington and Concord were fought which began the shooting part of the American Revolutionary War. A coin was issued for the 150th anniversary.

Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I do not recall if those boxes were ever used on other issues.

    just to mention:

    pan-pac? superset?

250th superset in a real velvet lined wooden box. the box could be bought empty for the rest of us to fill when they can.

ObligatoryOnTopic - i wish we would have thought about recognizing concord and lexington in 2025 when there was first discussions about coin offering for the 250th in 2026

When I was in Boy Scouts ( 1967-74 ) on Patriot's Day , we would hike The Acton Minuteman Trial from the home of Capt. Issaac Davis to the old North Bridge.

One was also "issued" for the 250th anniversary (note "SEMIQUINCENTENNIAL" and the date on this):
