eBay counterfeits guess they just don’t care

Reported a very obvious 1863 trime where the seller says 5 available lol if you know trimes you know this is a very rare date. The coin is obvious counterfeit shipping from China. Instead of removing the item I received a nice email that the coin is not in violation of their policies! Ugh

    I'm afraid eBay is giving buyers reasons to question their potential purchases.

    Two sold only 3 left. Really. How can eBay let obviously counterfeit coins like this. Now these fakes enter the market Ugh. So frustrating

    It looks like you’ve been missing out on the other threads - some of which are quite long) - on this topic.

    Here’s one of them, currently on the first page here:

    As has been said many times,,eBay does not give a pair of foetid dingo’s kidneys about people selling counterfeits.

    I reported several "1877" and "1870" Indian Cent listings from China as well, both "not in violation", supposedly reviewed by a customer service agent (who is probably from overseas somewhere).

    I think there is "reporting fatigue" - people report and get shot down by ebay

    then they stop reporting

    reporting en masse has proven to bring down counterfeits - i assume that's how im' 3 and 1 on receent ebay report threads

    also i am assuming the last loss i took was due to under-reporting

    ====

    we need a large forum report group that will be dedicated to reporting every item in the OP of new threads, as long as they are satisfied within themselves that it is truly a counterfeit

    my recent loss thread was the counterfeit 1922 lincolns from at least 2 different sellers. the picture was obvious. yet ... not only were they not removed... more were listed and sold. the sellers have been receiving positive feedback. someone proposed they are all shill buys, but even so: they are counterfeit sellers and their listing should be removed and hopefully their account eventually closed.

    ====

    we need commitment just to staart

    I'm in for #1, who are going to be #'s 2-30 ?
