Opinion on value or price

In my opinion, anyone can try to put a value or price on a coin. Now in my experience I have been told prices on coins. only to find out that the value or price depends on the one that is buying it. Because they are the one that sets the value or price. Even if you don't take the money they offer, you are left with the coin. Then you have to find someone that is willing to pay more than what was offered. Sometimes that may never happen. Which leaves you with a coin that you value or price that may never get to what you want for it. So in the end you may kick yourself for not talking what was offered. Or you may just like having that coin in your collection. That leaves you wondering if you made the right choice either way it goes.
Don't look at what is posted on the web. Those prices are for the cream of the crop. The best of the best.. If you are asking for the value or price of a coin remember it is only what you get for it. Not what you see or hear from others. More or less doesn't matter, it's what you sell it for that's the value of it.

Is there a question embedded in there or would you just like the world to hear your opinion?

I don't think anyone here really should put any weight on your "thoughts" about value or price.

I sold a quarter that everyone said was common or not of any real value. But I got $750. For it. Now you know the value of that quarter !!!
One of the important aspects of selling coins, tokens or medal is know who makes the market for it. In other words you need to know whom to ask to purchase the piece from you. If a dealer is selling American coins, it's not a good idea to ask them to buy something that was made of ancient Rome, That's an extreme example, but it makes the point.
If that's true (which is an enormous if and I highly doubt it), you absolutely ripped someone off. You should feel ashamed of yourself.

If true, I think this falls under the "just because you can, does not mean you should" category. That said, a poster can say anything -- does not mean it is true.
For an item that is unique or thinly traded then I'd probably agree that the selling price is the "value", but especially for a common coin the value is pretty much known before a specific sale occurs.
If you did actually sell a raw proof 40% Bicentennial quarter for $750, that was the "price" but definitely not the value. Someone will learn that painful lesson down the road.
Two threads about the coin do not make that tale a fact.
Just run for that daylight of profit - don’t let hagglers bug u.
Pricing is subjective vs value. Irregardless if what the coins value really is (or somebody’s BS get it cheap) it means nothing if you can’t move it at a decent margin. If you can move it making decent profit you win - value, not to worry.
Recently made good money, fantastic margin on a coin held for sometime (super low pop world issue) - somebody bought it. Many potential buyers passed over that time thinking they could rip it for cheap but finally we hit one on it and got all the money. Stuck to my pricing, opinion / value on it. It takes perseverance to really make it in the business.
