  • Why is that? Aren't these minting errors on the 2 cents? After all, it's clear that this is all on the black metal. There are even traces of metal swelling. And the 20 cent, you've often seen such rays on other coins. Unfortunately, I don't know the reason for the formation of such rays. The coin is from circulation, it has not been processed.     The "rays" are simply signs of metal flow during the minting process. The "bulges" are displaced metal from damage/dents, which are very obvious from your photos.
