Hi guys,
Alright!
After nearly 3 Months.
Sent out only 5 cards.
Finally Received my Results and Submission shipped!
Well,
In 3 Words.

"IT'S NOT GOOD!"

Yep, very disappointing. 😕
I was desperately hoping for at least
ONE 10?
Yeah, right!
Well, I shouldn't be that angry and upset.
I did receive 2 out of 5, in 9's!
Well, here are the 5 Cards I sent out...

My BEST Card.
The Heritage ROA Jasson Dominguez Autograph.
If this hit 10.
$599
Well, here are the sad results...

The Grades

😠😡😢
Yep.
The one I was hoping for a 10 the most.
Instead, I got a miserable 7!
The 9's were for the other Jasson Dominguez Chrome numbered & the Victor Wembanyama!
Cool but not cool!
My only saving grace card would have to be the BEST Card, The Jasson Dominguez ROA.
Although, only a 7!
Hard lesson learned.
Maybe better next time?
I hope anyway!
Thanks
😗

Just Terrible!

The vast majority of folks here have had some clunker subs, especially early on. Get em next time.

@joeykoins Thanks for sharing, and sorry you didn't get the results that you were hoping for. If the grade don't fit, you must resubmit. Good luck!

Sorry. I know that's disappointing. But I think many of us have lost a couple teeth on our first submission to PSA. I know I did. So you're not alone.

If factoring the cost of the boxes plus grading+shipping did you at least avoid losing $ ?

Well, when you put it that way...
    😆
I most certainly came way ahead!
The 5 Submissions cost me only
    $108.18!
    Plus,
The fact upon the cards being inside the

IMHO SGC has a greatly superior physical slab but now it's the same Company in effect .

I have grown to like them a lot too. I'm finding myself to be a huge fan of the 9.5 Mint+ cards in the SGC slab if you think you are in that space. I have sent a lot of cards in to PSA over time where my feeling was it could be a 10 but they may call it a 9. Now I love it when its a no, its not a 10 but we will meet you in the middle situation. It works for the modern Chrome and Panini Prizm and Heritage stuff that is pack fresh and well-centered where it feels like the worst case scenario is 9. I'm loving building up a collection of 9.5 Mint+ cards.

I have the opposite feeling toward 9.5s. I think they are the kiss of death.
I, of course, am not of fan of half grades.
If a card's grade can swing 1, 2, 3+ grades in any direction on any given day, what meaning does the half grade really have.
And 9.5s are double meaningless when the company has (2) 10 grades.

Sorry to see the disappointing results. Underscores how hard it is to get 10s. Even pack fresh modern cards are a very long shot to get 10's. For your business model, you may want to consider the return on a PSA 9 instead of a 10 when deciding which cards to send in. 9 is a more likely outcome with pack fresh new cards.

It’s a learning experience for sure. Take a look at them when you get them back and see if you can identify the issues. That will help you screen your cards better. Keep in mind that PSA makes errors too so you can always submit for review. Also you should check if there is any damage that might have occurred during the grading process. PSA sometimes does ding a corner and I’ve found them to provide excellent CRC support. That’s been a bright spot in my interactions with PSA over the years.

More likely contingent on who the player is. Jordan,Mantle, and players of that ilk get more scrunity along with population control.

Are to wiping down the cards before submission with a micro fiber cloth?

Before your next submission, you should scan your cards and post them here and let the good people here chime in with thoughts so you don’t have to figure it all out yourself.

So if you do not score higher than a 9 you are in the red. Way too risky IMHO

You're right! I was aware going in. However, I still proceeded for two reasons.
1, Knowing that this is sort of a rare submission. Could be a "POP 1".
Then for 2, the fact if Paul stays HOT and his cards stay in high demand.
My card could even be worth much more down the line!
    Thanks for your concern. 😉

How could it be a "POP 1" if there is data on a previous PSA10 sale? BTW look at lower left in your Skenes pic to me it appears to be a touched corner with color loss thus best possible scenario is a PSA 8 and nowadays a 6 or 7 may be a possibility.

If that’s the last one ever, there’s no real help available.

My only point was there’s knowledgeable guys here can help you decide which ones might be worth it to send in.

So I’d you post cards here (scans are best) you can avoid making the mistakes many of us here made as new submitters.

    Yep,
    "Knowledge is POWER!"
Back in my "Coin Collecting" days. In which, wasn't that too long ago. I was a diligent
variety seeker! A Cherry picker, we were called.
I was always stressing the fact that phrase to others.
    "Knowledge is Power!"
    I profited many, many bucks
on finding varieties that many collectors weren't aware of or having the "Knowledge" to be successful!
    Thanks again!

Another suggestion you may want to consider. Some submitters take a photo of their cards before packing. To provide proof card was submitted undamaged. Thereby if it's damaged in PSA possession one has proof that the damage was caused by PSA mishandling.
