Not my coin, was a crazy example to enjoy. Just a small handful known in proof, and the date is notoriously difficult to acquire. For most collectors, any example is sufficient and eye appeal goes out the window.

OK, it’s a new day. This was/is a tough one. First things first. @jfriedm56 is correct in his assessment of the coin variety. The 1897 S-1 or 1 in Neck is one of a handful of 5* varieties (think rarity) in the IHC series. Props to Zack, although that’s not required in the OP’s parameters. But Zack - violation of the one guess rule! Kidding aside:
1) there’s only one RD graded for this variety. It is (was?) owned by forum member @alaura22. It’s now a 64; was a 63 when he acquired it. Mike, do you still own it? If so, congrats on the upgrade! But for this thread, that means this coin is not RD. Hint #1.
Hint #2 - the coin’s grade is within the collective answers.
Apologies to all: I’m having too much fun with this, so I’ll exit the premises. No need to call security.

I placed a one-guess-per-day guideline. I enjoy fine-tuning my grading skills (or lack thereof), so when I am wrong, it's nice to have another shot at it. I feel no way in charge here more than the next so if the consensus is different, the rule can be updated. I have enjoyed learning from the thread thus far, great coins.

Sorry about that Zack! I didn’t mean to admonish; tried to make it a bit humorous but looks like I failed - my bad! You owe me one.

All in good fun Ken, just busting chops. The reason I guessed again as stated, was 1 guess per day, so next day I guessed again, as per @Torey. And I still sucked at it! This one is tough. Maybe 1 more clue? Zack.
@Torey: thanks for clarifying. I didn’t read correctly. This actually makes more sense. Apologies to @Coinscratch & @jfriedm56.
Still waiting for the correct answer though. Two hints already, but here’s another. The pic used is a Phil Arnold era TV.
