Opinion on Grade: an 1802 Draped Bust Large Cent.

I just recently acquired this raw 1802 Draped Bust large cent. I would like to know what your opinion on grade is, also if you would like include an EAC grade feel free to do so. Any other comments/concerns/opinions welcome. Thanks. :)

It looks like EF details. I am not sure how porous it is, or if that porosity would prevent a problem-free grade.

However, it would need a closer examination to determine if it is one of the group of recent high-quality reproductions.
The facial profile is strongly delineated from the fields, but the other devices much less so. Something looks a little off to me.

Agree with D Carr. The strike just looks too uneven. EF looks about right. Compare the strike around the back of the hair, front of the face , below the bust and the date with the rest of the obverse. Out of parallel dies can explain some unevenness, but not this much. Same with the reverse.

It may have problems: light corrosion and a possible cleaning , but the remaining detail and the strike look strong. Still has nice eye appeal as well. XF Details. If it did straight grade I would guess VF30 or 35.

I grade it VF 25 sharpness, average minus surfaces, net F12.

Surfaces mostly smooth and may get a VF-30 by grading companies, in my opinion . I'd keep it raw until it was time to be sold.

From an EAC standpoint, it looks Fine-something - photos aren't good enough to render a very accurate guess.

VF details due to some corrosion. The photos, which look washed-out, are not good enough to make a call on cleaning.

VF details cleaned, but as a few others mentioned I find the coin to be suspect and could be a counterfeit.
