A number of these are centered way better than usual. Nice box!

I have 8 packs left to open and 8 packs went off to PSA for grading along with 3 other subs I had been working on. I sent in 23 of the better centered star cards from this box for grading. I held onto a few, including the Murray with the ding, for private signings coming up. I didn't send in any of the commons for grading this time, but I would say maybe 5% or so have a shot at a 10.
I opened 20 packs and tossed 4 cards. 8 went into penny sleeves alone, and the rest were good enough for card savers. There are a few where I may have missed a surface issue that would be in the 4-6 range and a bunch with centering that will put them in the 6-7 range. The volume is 8+ I would guess.
I have not found a Brett yet. I will definitely open another box. I ran out of card savers...
Half the commons look like this. Overall this might be the best centered box of anything 60s, 70s, 80s I’ve opened. Definitely the best OPC wax I’ve ever had. Most of the time 3-5 cards are wrecked by the gum.

Beautifully centered cards for OPC. No Eddie?
A couple so far. This first one is 8 maybe 9. The only issue on centering is a slight tilt or it could be a 10 on a good day. The second should have stayed in the pack. I neglected to look and it was the back card. Oops. Bother of these will go for auto.
The pack with the first Eddie also had a very nice Bench and a 8-9 Dawson. The hawk and Bench will also go for auto.
Started on the next box. Top pack was Tony Perez front and George Brett back. That will go to PSA. I have checked a few packs and the gum is loose. I opened one and the cards are unmarked by the gum. Any advice on shipping so the gum doesn't rip the pack? TIA.

There isn't a foolproof way to prevent that but I'd ship to PSA by placing the pack in a team bag with a top loader on back for support and sealing that which should help immobilize the gum to some extent and then stacking the packs upright in a row in a box (I use the ones PSA ships graded packs in) and then plenty of peanuts and packing material to keep the row of packs in place and then place that box in a shipping box. Brett on back is a nice hit. Good luck!

BEAUTIFUL card!
This guy seems a little under appreciated to me.
I’m only through 12 packs and this is an example of average for the box so far.
I happened to purchase 16 of these “tape intact” boxes from the same dealer. I might not be able to stop myself.
With all the horrors of OPC gum I’ve experienced I very rarely open OPC wax from the 70s.
I had to order 2000 more card savers.
This is nuts.
Cool photo...👍
Great looking cards. Best of luck grading.
Love it. Wanna sell one if the boxes
I have had good success ripping 78 OPCs.

Wow - these look really, really nice - congrats!

Nice rip. I like the Keith Hernandez so I lit up a smoke.
Always in the market for game used kinesiology tape and smelly socks.

Brett and Carew are tough. I hope you get some centered cards.

Beautiful 78's!! Congratz!!
Amazing run. Beautiful.
The 78 set has some of the coolest photos (all the Reggie’s, White) but also some weird ones (Brock 😳). Love it.
