Once again, it's not on their list for 2025.

    Then isn't that the answer?

Well, they haven’t won a Space War yet….

Many people don't realize that WWIII will be fought in outer space. Our adversaries already have killer satellites in orbit that can take out our communications and GPS satellites rendering our ICBM's, cruise missiles, and other weapons systems unusable.

It will also be fought with drones and hacks shutting down the whole electricity grid. It won't start with a big bang, but will likely end with one.

    Be patient.

It took the United States Marine Corps over 200 years to get a commemorative coin.

I've been trying to get an answer through Congressional sources asking why a US Space Force medal has not been produced or visible on the calendar. Here is the answer I received on my last inquiry. I'm not holding my breath.

    Dear Mr. Howard,

Thank you for your inquiry and the photograph of your handsome display of U.S. Armed Forces Silver Medals.

The Mint is committed to working closely with stakeholders to create the finest designs to honor our military branches. We respect the diligence and careful deliberations the U.S. Space Force liaisons are devoting to create a medal comparable to those preceding it and anticipate a result expressing the spirit and mission of those who serve in this this newly created military branch. With this input, the United States Mint will have the critical guidance needed to complete the production of a Space Force Medal.

We thank you for your loyalty and patience in supporting the Mint’s historical programs through the years, and we thank you for your service to the nation.

    Respectfully,

    Mike

Maybe if enough interested parties would ping Mr. White, he might get the message.

I asked the US Mint rep about the Space Force medal at the September Long Beach show as I own two of each of the previously released medals and am just waiting for this final medal to complete my sets.

I’ll describe his answer as an eye roll with a big sigh stating the Space Force “liasons” are being very particular with the design specs. He would not even speculate on when the medal will be released.

I think one can equate the Mint rep’s response to Mr. White’s more professional reply if one reads between the lines.

yeah, the eye roll is not a mint standard response, but if they had a non-handwritten sign regarding this, then you have your answer

LOL, check the return address on that letter. Looks like that letter might have originated from the office of the VP.

Another computer rendered fantasy featuring ridiculous bilaterally symmetrical rocket exhaust. They're fine for coin design I guess, but I'm not a fan of computer-generated graphics in other applications such as taxonomy because they're not realistic. They present this idealized image of something that unfortunately looks phony and doesn't convey confidence in the drawing's accuracy.
