Curious to see what the forum might think about this quarter. It might be a challenge!

A coin that has to be seen in-hand.
Proof 62……🤔?

It’s most assuredly not a Proof of any grade.

The coin looks AU55 to me. But since “it might be a challenge” I’m guessing it was assigned a MS grade.

Put me in at 55, a touch dark, but looks like the luster is there for the grade. I suppose I could see it as a 53 as well, but I'm sticking with 55.

I also think it might be MS. I cannot tell if it has wear or not given the lighting.

It appears to be a weakly struck MS. It's hard to get excited about this coin; especially if the luster is gone. I've seen similar coins what were "stored" inside a leather coin purse. I've often wondered if a quick dip would improve dark coins.
58.
55-58
Some good guessing! Here is the slab images. While the coin is graded MS, now that I have it in hand, I think it is in the AU55/58 range. Just some light high point friction that I suppose could still get it a low MS graded. I had planned to crack it out and get it regraded hopefully as a 62, now I think I will leave it as is.
