Very nice 1824 O.108…looks to have nice luster too!
I’d guess CACG gave it a 55

I’ll be a stinker and say 58 since everyone’s guessed 55 so far

AU58. Nice eye appeal & luster without a lot of marks.

I'll mix it up and say AU-53.
My thoughts are 53-55 range.

imho
I grade her Pretty Pretty Pretty.........
My first view said AU55 and choice
A lot of great guesses on this beauty. Many of you matched the PCGS grade of AU55. You would have been spot on if I did this GTG last week. As a P55 it crossed JA's desk (prior owner to the prior owner I bought if from) and failed.
I wanted to see if it failed for grade or condition so I took advantage of the "$10 if it doesn't cross" fee and sent it to CACG. I did allow one grade lower on this coin just to learn. It crossed as an AU53. I hope others can learn from experiences like this.
As I said in my other GTG, not a single coin that JA failed to sticker crossed at grade in my submissions. I sent in well over 30 coins so far. That says a lot to me and was well worth the education. The free "Hi-Res" photos are also really nice. You get 6 in all. I have posted all but the reverse slab shot.

AU53 is a controversial grade, many long-term pros in this field have told me a coin should either be a 50 or 55, but I can see the need for a compromise grade. Fully original, attractive and crusty, it should be 55 all day long.
I agree. I would put this coin up against most P55CAC CBH's out there.

I agree too. I really thought it was a 55. 53 is kind of absurd. I guess seeing it in hand could make a difference.
