This came out of one of those old brown PVC producing albums
After dipping it in acetone this is what it looks like.

I think I never would have clicked on the thread, because it's a topic in which I'm not interested, if you hadn't had such a clickbait title. Well done, an extra view and comment!
It looks to have solid luster and getting rid of pvc is a positive.
The color kinda cool but pass
“ What do you think”
My first thought is that your thread title is unnecessarily way too vague.

Nice result!

I see a lot of color and would like better images. Nice piece.
Looks decent to me. Good restoration. 👍

no such thing as clickbait, when we can click on every thread here daily, and waste no more then 20 min browsing through them all. the thread title here was simple and creative enough that it didn’t even require a question mark
nice result and cool coin regardless, last year of 90%, and President Kennedy looking as handsome as can be!
If you think anyone can “click on every thread here daily, and waste no more then 20 min browsing through them all” you have no idea how many threads and posts there are here daily. Either that, or your definition of “browsing” is scrolling without reading. That might explain why you mistakenly believe the thread title isn’t clickbait.

The obverse has a very nice color in my opinion.

sorry, browsing meaning, this thread is trash, or this thread is interesting. so a quick browse, after clicking on the thread title, to be exact sir
to be extra exact, new threads. like when you open the US coin forum every morning, and periodically throughout the day, until bedtime. I understand anyone doing research here could read for the rest of their lives, no stop, going from front to back or vice versa
and to be honest, as far as clickbait is concerned, it’s almost offensive that you would use that for such an OP as this one? now if I started this thread, brand new, just joined last couple months ago, clickbait would be plausible, but still debatable, considering a pictured US coin appeared after the click.
pics too dark

"Click bait" isn't based on how long you've been around. It is based on the nature of the thread title. By definition, the threat title is click bait. If click bait doesn't bother you, that's fine. Don't, however, pretend that isn't what it is, even if it is unintentionally so.
We should all use "Wow" as the thread title for a few weeks. Then tell me when there are 200 "Wow" threads that you don't think that creates a problem.
I think it looks like $11 worth of junk silver. Most dealers would probably only offer you $9-$10 though. RGDS!
The whole worlds off its rocker, buy Gold™.

Mark, I think click-baiting depends on intent. In this instance I think you’re being too harsh. Consider the source, the venue, and the likely intent.
Fair enough. I'll go back to my first reply to the OP in this thread: "My first thought is that your thread title is unnecessarily way too vague."

Coin looks nice. Sometimes they need a dip.
Why is it so hard for new and old forum members to practice forum etiquette and thus extend a courtesy to members who’d like to have an opportunity to decide whether they wish to read or contribute to a thread?
Newbies who are dismissive of such courtesy might consider whether they welcome here.
"Got a flaming heart, can't get my fill"
So you must think they should read more and write less, correct?
For you, yes.

so much about the op and op. when are we going to discuss the coin?
The word “petty” keeps popping into my head.
As to the coin, picture is too dark to draw any conclusions, but the color, if accurate, is interesting.
I started reading the responses and now I think you should dip the coin…. if just for the dipsticks.
There appears to be something still going on with OBV surface. I would give it a good dip, again. It almost looks like tape residue or more PVC flaking in areas. As far as the toning, it isn’t that appealing. You pretty much have a coin valued around melt.
Leave it alone. Then see how many dealers tell you that the color is questionable.
For myself never was concerned with these "clickbait" topics. If the title even has a remote hint of interest I will click on. Read the poster comment. If that lacks interest I depart the subject. If title evokes no interest won't click. Either way no biggie. Waste a few seconds. Every once in a while there will be a topic of interest within the "bait". That one makes up for the duds.
To je govno.

My only disappointment with this thread is that knowing @ptvetter, I had hoped to see a Mercury dime. But the Kennedy is interesting enough.
