I have always liked this type. I found a nice one and bought it from a member of this forum.
Here are some quick photos.
Sure looks nicer that a 64.
Next move will be a nice common date indian head so if anyone should have a nicely striked IHC please hit me up.

As far as the coin looking “nicer than a 64”, am I seeing two long scratches or something else near the obverse rim at about 7:00?

The slab has some scuffs. I just viewed this coin with a loupe. It's beautiful. There is a die crack that goes from feathers to feathers.
I purchased it from a long time member. I doubt he would try to pass off a coin with scratches to another member. I asked him if it had any dings or nicks and he responded no to both questions.
So I am very happy to add this to my collection.

Does the die crack go through the top of the date?
It goes through the date.

I recall a long lost member here- russ- broke away from his love and passion of DCAM Kennedy half dollars and ventured out to collecting these two-cent pieces. He became quite the expert within the series.
I think there must be something charming and magical about this series to draw those who are normally not so inclined or disposed to collect them, find themselves doing so.

Looks nice!
I believe the obverse has leaves draping down and not feathers.

This holder has the coin facing obverse in the holder with two arrows facing up with the feathers down below. What do I know....
Unless I am misunderstanding something

Tom, I believe he's referring to the feathers (at the top of the arrows) which appear beneath the bottom of each side of the shield.

I also noticed the incomplete "D" on the reverse, it's a RPD-001.
No premium for the coin, but cool nun the less.
For comparison

Ahhh....I obviously thought we were referring to something else! Thank you!

I apologize for my misunderstanding. I had thought you were referring to the leaves and not the arrow fletch.
