1943 P D S holders - 3 singles or 1- 3 coin holder- **which would you prefer**?
I'm looking at 1943 cents P, D, & S in PCGS or NGC holders. My question is would you prefer 3 single holders or 1 3-coin slab? I realize that a 3-coin holder is very hard to store but is there a preference as to the value of each type. Are the 3 single holders more valuable than a 3-coin holder? Any thought would be helpful. Thanks in advance.
I kinda like the 3-coin holders but they could be hard to store. I'm not sure if the value of these big holder is better than the single holders either.

I agree, the larger size is harder to store. Is either type valued more or is the value of the single slab and the larger 3-coin slab about the same?

Many other dealers & collectors avoid the large slabs so I would guess resale value would be lower and they take longer to sell. There are exceptions to everything, and the right collector may pay more.

Thanks, I will probably be looking for the single slabs.

I prefer the single slab holder.
Much easier to store and easier to sell.
Single holders have individual cert numbers and Pcgs has only one cert number on its 3, coin slab.

The 3-coin holder does seem to have negative appeal compared to 3 individual slabs.

Many of the quarter series had all 5 coins in one slab.
If I remember correctly, Pcgs used to sell a holder box for these, but they were expensive.
I do believe that they were discontinued years ago.
Anybody recall this storage box?

I was a bit interested back in the day, but the single certification number became the turn off for me.
I tried to find the large storage box but as of now, have had no success.

I didn't realize that PCGS had just a single certification. NGC has 3 certifications numbers

I did not know that NGC had individual cert numbers for mutiple coins in a single holder.
I had to go back up and review the slab that you posted.
Sure enough the cert numbers are consecutive.

It is strange that PCGS has just 1 certification # and NGC has a certification # for each cent. I guess I would buy an NGC holder for that reason but the storage problem would have to be considered too.
