I wouldn't even use Tyson's age as the reason he lost this fight, it looked like he never even made a real attempt at going after Paul. He was barely throwing any punches at all.
Perhaps he was TIRED ???
Sure,by the end he must have been tired but he didn't lose last night because he was tired. If you watched the three Paul vs Tyson Countdown episodes in the weeks leading up to this fight, there was a stark difference in how Tyson looked in his workouts compared to how he did in that ring when it actually counted.
We came in hoping to see Mike Tyson's Punch Out and we ended up with Mike Tyson's Punch Out,
i dont get it . you backed up your typewriter and whacked a minus sign over an H .
what makes even less sense is when I quoted it there is no longer a minus sign over the H but 2 tildes before the h and 2 after it. 4 tildes! this is unheard of
Also another sign my life is complete….. last night at the casino I saw a man dressed in a poncho and cowboy hat. Yes a 1960’s spaghetti western man with no name authentic poncho.
Had no idea that was socially acceptable even for Dodge. 🤔

Apparently my Strikethrough of the letter H is more exciting than the Jake Paul/Mike Tyson fight itself, who knew? 🤷♂️
From what I’ve heard here about the fight, your Strikethrough has already registered more entertainment value than it did…..so thank you 👍
My original joke was, we were expecting Mike Tyson's Punch Out but instead got Mike's Punc Out, silly me for leaving that H in there lol.
That fight was straight up booty, when Netflix was kind enough to let us watch 60 second clips in between the stream lagging all night, we got to see the Great Iron Mike Tyson repeatedly fumble with his mouthguard while he did circles around the ring and not throwing any punches. I already had a Netflix account but I feel sorry for all of the poor saps that signed up for Netflix just for that fight alone.

the reason i didn't trust this fight (yes, i actually made an accurate prediction) was because Jake Paul is a business man, first and foremost. he comes across as a total douche, but in truth he's a genius. he knows exactly what he's doing. allowing Mike Tyson to hitch his wagon was going to make them both filthy rich by simply standing in a ring 8 times for 2 minutes apiece, with an occasional pseudo-punch to prevent suckers viewers from slipping into a coma.
that was never intended to be a boxing match. it was an event. or, if you want to be far less politically correct, a total sham. and those two reeled in 60 million households with their antics. the pre-fight slap was staged, and Paul even admitted after the "fight" that he was never going to attack Tyson in the ring. a legit fighter would have floored an opponent who was just standing there.
it was an opportunity to stream a 60 million dollar robbery live on Netflix...........nothing less, nothing more
and now he's calling out Conor McGregor. "yo Notorious, it's the Problem Child. didja see that? wanna make the easiest 50 mil of your life?"
Tyson was gassed immediately. He had no chance to win the fight. All skill and punching power is gone. Just being in great shape for a 58 year old man is not nearly enough. This craziness needs to end. I remember when he fought Lennox Lewis and he was also completely out of gas after basically 2 rounds.

I was impressed with how well promoted the event was. I wouldn't have considered turning it on, but during dinner on Friday my kids brought it up and my wife said "we're watching it"... That my kids knew who was fighting was impressive to me.
I was certainly hoping for Tyson to do something exciting, but that was just a delusional hope in the end. I'll have forgotten all about it by the next fight and I'll turn it on like a dope I'm sure.

McGregor Paul actually seems like the perfect fight spectacle if they can get a decent or good under card. Washed up MMA fighter against a half way decent boxer and two of the best fight promoters teaming up. I wont watch it, but Im sure they would make an absurd amount of money. 50 mil might actually be a low estimate for them

It's kind of a mystery how so many boxing fans somehow thought a 58 year old Mike Tyson was still the same Mike Tyson from 1986. It's like they have not been paying attention at all and completely ignored logic and reason let alone Mike Tyson's last fight 20 years ago against Kevin McBride.
What's even more surprising is how nearly every single person that watched this "fight" actually thought it an actual boxing fight and not some staged form of entertainment much like professional wrestling.

I wouldn’t call myself a boxing fan - I gave up watching long ago when virtually everything big was moved to PPV - but I was pulling for Tyson… not so much because I thought he was the Tyson of old, but because I was hoping for one power punch to land and reveal Paul to be the sham boxer that I believe he is. Paul didn’t show me anything to change my mind about him, but unfortunately for whatever reason - plan, age, whatever - Tyson didn’t even try to do anything like what he showed in his training videos.
I realize it’s easy to charge ahead and throw with wild abandon when your trainer isn’t throwing back, but there wasn’t a hint of even thinking about doing that. Like you said, it was purely entertainment, not boxing.

I’ve never seen a minus sign through a H before or the word tilde. And now………. my life is complete. 🥳
