That is a broad question do you mean for silver content? Or dates or both? You will rarely find any coins with silver anymore in circulation.

If you are looking for rarities in your pocket change you have just as much chance of winning the lotto. Modern rarities like say the 2000P dime, quarters and the like are extremely rare with less than 10 known of quarters and maybe a few hundred of the dimes. The 1969 large date dime is extremely rare as well with maybe 12-15 known.
Your chances of finding such coins is so low it is not even worth thinking about.

I would say YES! I have a wonderful Type Set of Canadian Coins in the Dansco Book 1858 to 1971. I first decided to pull together a 1955 Birth Year set because I bought a car with a 1955 silver dollar in the glove box. Then I started collecting the 1935-1967 silver dollars and then I found the Dansco Type Set Album and I was hooked. Also I lived in an area that had dealers that carried Canadian coins. (Washington State) and my go to dealer in California was also a Canadian Coin fan. While the collection is complete it is not perfect. My coins range from good to extra fine about 30%, and mint state around 70% but it is a very satisfying set to collect. All this being said I have found out that most dealers are not interested in either the Type Set or bulk Canadian silver so my advice is to go Canadian for the fun of completing a set, not for bullion purposes.
