I was hoping a coin or two would show up in the sale I needed but no such chance this time around.
Liberty Seated Half Dollars (G-04 to F-12)
Just this one. It's an 1809 Mexico 8 Reales with an unattributed TH/HJ over-assayer. This is probably the best example of this rare over-assayer I've seen with the vertical line of the J through the middle of the H, as well as the remains of the H legs on both sides of the T. The obverse shows evidence of a double-strike.
