For Buffaloes variety fans - 1920D/D FS-502 third example attributed by PCGS

Just have to share this coin with you. Received my submission results tonight and I am very pleased to let you know that there are now 3 examples of 1920D/D FS-502 Buffalo. The hunt continues for one better than VF35 yet chances are low probably. I am hoping to find 35D/D FS-502 (correctly attributed as most isn't) and 1915S/S FS-501. Wish me luck!

    Thank you👍
Sure, I have been hunting for this variety on various listings and finally managed to find one in unattributed NGC slab. It upgraded nicely as well, was VF25.

It may be only vf25 but the eye appeal imho is what makes it stand out

Thank you. It got 35 at rather conservative PCGS and I would agree with this note. It was def undergraded in NGC slab. And yet the grade in this variety isn’t the key driver imo, the rarity is.

Thank you George! Yes I am very proud of finding this coin. This one goes well with my 15D/D and actually it drives me towards trying to put together full set of CPG Buffalo RPMs. The hunt continues!:)

Well done! Now go find a 1915-s/s, FS-502. None have been certified by PCGS. I actually don't believe they exist!

This is on my list same as all CPG buffalo RPMs. You are actually close to what I am after now as first shot is FS-502 on 35D/D (yet not RPM-003 that James Wiles is calling late die stage of RPM-002) and 15S/S FS-502. Honestly there is that many wrongly attributed 35D rpm-003 coins as a FS-502 that there isn’t a way to establish what is the real pop for real deal RPM-002.
Anyway I wish you all the best and I look forward to see Your new treasures here👍
