Maybe those collectors want two opinions confirming that their coins are indeed PO1, and not under-graded FA02.

Also, I’ll make the assumption that most lowball collectors are still reasonably picky, seeking out the nicest and most attractive coins in their desired grades.

There’s an aspect of buying a well circulated coin that’s just very appealing.

Evidently; as I said, it escapes my understanding. But that still does not explain why one would bother with the CAC approval for such a coin.

In this instance my best guess is to confirm the coin was not manipulated intentionally to give it the circulated look.

I would hate to have to replace this.

    When in doubt, don't.

Never saw a P01 with a gold sticker. Is there one out there?

Wouldn't a gold sticker hurt the value of a low-ball coin since it would imply the coin is a higher grade?

Worry is the interest you pay on a debt you may not owe.

I think CAC knows P01 collecting is a race to the bottom and a sticker means the best lowest of the low. To me, a gold on a P01 means no scratches, dings, damage, dipping, etc and can't get any more wear and be able to recognize date and mintage.

I was wrapped around the axle on this when I stated this thread and it hasn't gotten any better. 🤣 :D 😉

Forgot that I had one. I didn’t buy it for the sticker. I bought it because it’s PO01.

How do you get those stickers off? What's the easiest way to remove them? Asking for a friend. 😎 He said the slab and coin would look better without that sticker. 😎
