Love and gratitude ... today is MY Birthday. The big 6 - 0!
Okay, I guess I will follow my friend @Pnies20 and share.
As some of you know, after close to 25 years at a company I helped expand and grow, my last day with the company in a full-time, in-town capacity is tomorrow ... and with today being my 60th Birthday ... there were some early shenanigans!
They also set up a nice lunch which many from my teams attended. That was unexpected, and pretty much uncalled for ... but nice just the same. I'm taking a couple weeks of leave, and then I'll be in a three-day-a-week, fully remote situation ... 900 miles away.
I definitely could feel the love today, for sure.
It's a great situation, although leaving me a little melancholy as the office cleared out tonight ... but I am very grateful today, for so many things.
.
Anyway, here's what my office looked like this morning. The skeleton even has a pen in it's mouth, the coffee cup close at hand.
That laptop and broken briefcase saw a lot of use between about 2007 and 2012!
.
Anyway ... 60! Woohoo!! Or my third 20th.
Or maybe a little more reasonable, my second 30th. I'm going for three of those.
.
Show me a coin you love and are grateful to own today.
Year, denomination, composition ... even the country doesn't matter ... as long as you love it, are grateful to own it and want to share.
I'm a Bust Half Nut ... and while I'm never sure what is my favorite day-to-day, this is certainly one of them ... 150 years before I came around!
This was the most expensive Bust Half I had ever owned when I won it as part of Sheridan Downey's Mail Bid #52, and I was both scared and grateful to purchase her.

1814 O-107a (107.3), R5 .......... PCGS AU58cac
ex-Link, ex-Frederick. A soft platinum-golden-grey patina with patches of russet and aqua-blue graces full cartwheel luster and mark-free surfaces. "Lot 2969 from the same sale as the preceding lot. PCGS again omitted Frederick’s name on the label (while adding Link’s) when the coin was reholdered after the sale. The die break through the date that Overton seems to require for the late die state is missing; PCGS nonetheless attributed the coin as O.107a. It was undoubtedly influenced by the worn, clashed dies and the presence of a small ****die chip on Liberty’s nose. Full cartwheel luster and mark-free surfaces support the AU 58 designation. Russ Logan quaintly referred to this intermediate die state as the one with “a mouse on the nose.” Logan owned one of two known 1814 platinum half-dollars, Judd 44. They were struck from the O.107 die pair. Since they do NOT have a mouse on the nose (or a die break between 81 of the date) we know that they were struck in 1814 at the Mint, not pieces de caprice, struck elsewhere from discarded dies."

Congrats my friend.
It is hard to pick just one but if I had to then it would probably be this one. Never before shown here, and will get its own write up soon. Never, ever, imagined I would own this one.

A big happy birthday to a fine numismatist, forum member, and friend. Sounds like you are easing into retirement and that's a great way to transition!
I've always loved early copper and I've always desired a 1794 large cent. I too had the same buying experience you had in winning an auction outside my comfort zone a little over two years ago to accomplish this dream. I think I'm likely thoroughly buried, but the collector in me doesn't care much. Lot description below pics:
LOT DESCRIPTION
1794 Liberty Cap Cent. S-30. Rarity-1. Head of 1794. Marred Field, Amiable Face. EF-45 (PCGS). CAC.
An absolutely stunning piece with stronger quality and eye appeal than one might expect even at the desirable Choice EF grade level. Both sides are smooth in hand, and impressively so, without so much as a single mark or other blemish to report. The strike is a bit tight to the upper right obverse border, better centered on the reverse, and both sides exhibit at least discernible denticulation in all areas. Well defined overall, in fact, with handsome medium brown patina that speaks volumes about the originality of this PQ large cent. In 1870, Dr. Edward Maris named this variety the "Amiable Face," for the pleasant expression to Liberty's portrait, a gentlemanly revision of his racier first moniker published in 1869, the "Amatory Face." The present coin is truly a delight to behold and will please even the most discerning type collector or early copper enthusiast.

Happy Birthday Todd!! (Still a baby) And congrats on the last day of "full-time, in-town capacity".
Happy Birthday! Here is one that I love, and feel very grateful to own:
I am a newer collector (started April 2020), and I primarily focus on U.S. Half Cents and Type Coins. Early copper is my favorite.
You’re one of the only members of the BHNC that looks older than the coins they collect. 😳
A: The year they spend more on their library than their coin collection.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
I turned 60 earlier this year also, but I'm still working full time. Congratulations on going part time.
Here is a coin I am grateful to own in PCGS MS63.

Congrats on getting old, its all downhill from here. I like this one for some reason that I cannot define. I am more of the blast white Ricko type, but this one does it for me.
