Yep, it is that time again. I am 74 today. I have lived longer than my Dad, both of my Grandmothers and my sister. Post a coin from 1950, 1850 or 1750.

Happy birthday golden! Both from 1950.
A most Happy 74 @Golden! Just had mine on 8/21. This is my highest graded 1950 @ 67+RD CAC. It’s the only one I own that graded higher than Stewart Blay’s example:

My mom was born the same year…

This is raw, but I also like it as part of my album set. Maybe I should get it graded, but then I would have a hole in the album. Happy Birthday!
Happy Birthday.
Here are two 1950 Proof Sets for you.
Great to still see your continued passion for our hobby. Happy BDAY!

I am envisioning a neat, special strike 1850 Double Eagle being posted soon from someone up north.
My mom was born in 1950 as well. Sadly, I have absolutely nothing from 1950! No coins, or currency!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to @golden !
Happy birthday my friend, they seem to come a bit faster now as long as they keep coming

That is a very nice Mormon! Decades ago, I had the chance to buy a nice Mormon, but I failed to step up to the plate. Love the Moffat! I think that is one of the best that I have ever seen.
That Moffat is the only one I've seen that has a semi prooflike appearance. There actually isn't much research that has been done on the issue, but generally, it's assumed that there are several varieties. I presume that mine was a very early dies state, but perhaps the dies weren't set with enough pressure and thus the hair details didn't strike up all the way. All the other details on the coin are razor sharp, but in this condition it is cetainly not common. The 1849 is more common than the 1850, but the 1849 enjoys a higher level of demand likely because of the cool date .

Happy 74th @golden !!!
I had to go digging because I don't have an 1850 (or 1750)
This one still is tucked away in a cigar box somewhere, but found images and cropped them

@Copperindian- yep, made a trade with Rick recently and picked up 3 patterns from Dons collection. You were the beneficiary of one of the coins I traded to him!
