Searched eBay and Wizard and can't find anyone selling them? Are they still being made?

You might be right thinking they aren’t available, I just checked and most places that used to sell them are out of stock. A couple places still had just one size in stock, but this place spells them different and seems to have many sizes available https://www.oldmint.com/cointains.htm

In the Numismatic News , issue dated Sept. 10 2024, page 59,

Hope this helps
I used to use them regularly. It was like handling a coin like it was raw but without touching it.
As Tibor noted vcoins. However, I don't see the Kointains available there either.
This NNP article states that vcoins purchased E&T Kointainer (dated 9/13/2020).

The E&T Kointainer Company, provider of archivally safe numismatic storage products, has a new owner.
Bernard A. Nagengast, who has owned the company for 41 years, is retiring. Mr. Randy A. Moore, who has been associated with Mr. Nagengast and E&T Kointainer for the last 11 years, has purchased the business and will continue to offer the same quality products numismatists have been using from this American company since 1950. The product line includes Kointain and Saflip coin holders, Safgard currency sleeves, Metal Safe corrosion inhibitor, Koinpage generic coin album, and other accessories.
E&T Kointainer sells only numismatic products that will not harm coins and paper money. The company has a history of important innovations in numismatic storage with many firsts that include the Kointain coin capsule, Saflip, the first non-PVC coin flip, the earliest plastic coin tubes and the use of inhibitors to prevent toning of coins. Collectors interested in investigating Kointainer products can access the company website at www.vcoins.com/us/kointainer. Catalog requests can be sent to Randy Moore at plantman55@icloud.com or mailed to E&T Kointainer, PO Box 103, Sidney OH 45365.
Best of luck and continued success for the new owner. Here's the historical background, written by Bern Nagengast. Thanks. -Editor

The webpage link above does not appear to have the Kointains and clicking Kointains does not show them avialable. Below is the vcoins webpage for supplies and while it has the Kointains listed, there is essentially nothing there that I can find (same as above) and don't see other information on them there either. Perhaps their contact information could clarify.

Did a QUICK search for "Kointain Capsule". One of the top 'hits' was the Air-Tites.com website. There was a detailed description of the capsule, but no purchase option. So, I called Air-Tites.
Had a really pleasant interaction with a gentleman named Joel, one of the owners. He said they used to carry "Kointain Capsules", but that they had been discontinued by the manufacturer. He went on to say that E&T Kointainer, however, was still in business.
Edited a spelling error.
Kointains were permanently discontinued around a year ago.

OH NO!!!!! Is there anything similar?
OMG! I had long ago given up on finding the Koinpage generic coin album. In the 80's I used a similar item by Dansco. It was found to contain PVC. I didn't know anyone was making this type anymore. I'll be placing an order soon for sure.
I wonder if Bernard still has his Jefferson collection. Heard in the early 90's
that it was immense, loaded with 5 and 6 step nickels.
Before I bought albums, used the clear snaps to house raw collection. Have a few Kointains but mostly have about a hundred Marcus 2X2 clear $ snaps. I like the Marcus better since they were easier to open. Both reliable to not open if closed properly and dropped.
I believe I still have a copy of The Jefferson Nickel Analysis that he wrote.
There isn't really. Many brands of acrylic capsules are available. They do a fine job of protecting coins but don't provide the near invisibility of Kointains.

Does anybody have Bern Nagengast's phone number? If so please send it to me privately. I had it but lost it when my phone died last year.
I was using KoinTains for my personal collection before I started working for Coin World in 1973. Some time during my tenure there the then-current owner of the company sent me a copy of a form letter that he sent to all of his customers offering to sell the company to one of us. He said that his father had purchased the company from its founder and given it to him as a way of him working himself through college, since the manufacturing and selling could be done in his spare time.
Bottom line was that he had graduated from college and was going to pursue the career of his choice. I liked the product and did not want the company to go away, but my mechanical skills have always been rather limited. However, I did know Bern from the Shelby County Coin Club, where we were both officers. He was an Applications Engineer at a local factory. I called him up, said "Hey Bern, I got something you should look into." and gave him the flyer. He contacted the guy and bought the company.
Thanks for all the help guys,,, I have a lead on some so I will see what pans out. I have raw sets of coins that go in the plastic slides and I use the Kontains for extra protection. I need the quarter size right now.
If you're having trouble finding them you can always just search "coin capsules." There are many other brands that make them. I have my nice modern bullion coins stored in them.
KoinTains are just barely bigger than the coin. I need them to fit it the album pages that I use.
The great thing about Kointains is that they are convex and only touch the coin on the edges. They do not touch the flat surfaces.
@GRANDAM and all other posters.
Just got off the phone with Randy, current owner of
E.T. KOINTANER . They are no longer being made. The
existing inventory was sold to Allen Berman, a medieval,
ancient coin dealer. I've dealt with Allen for several years.
To reach him to find out the status of his inventory:

Thanks for the info
I chatted with my old friend Bern Nagengast. What Tibor said.
Damn shame, as it is/was a great product that had many uses. One ANA Museum Curator used to put pieces in just one side of a holder, with the side he wanted to show forward, and glue a mounting pin or whatever to the shell on the back.At Harlan Berk the ancient department would put fragile ancients in them.
Bern still has the equipment to make them, which Randy did not want. Anybody want to talk to Bern to see if you can buy the equipment cheap and continue to make the product? I can put you in touch with him.
