I know some wheat pennies are worth money. Was just wondering if anybody knows if this one is?

Common date in common grade. What makes you think it's worth more than a few cents? I recommend using an online price guide, or maybe buying a red book if you think you will need to look up coins a lot.

As stated, common year in common condition. They sell for about 5 cents each. Dealers buy them at 2.5 or 3 cents each depending on how many you have.
Worth about 4 cents.

Just wasn't sure, cause I found one on ebay that looks like mine for sale for $2,499.00. https://www.ebay.com/itm/184994958278 Never heard of that book before. I might have to get one.
The one on eBay is also worth about 4 cents.

Ok, thanks.
There are 568 million made, nobody is going to buy eBay item for $2499
If you like to get more wheaties, go to the bank and pick up a box of rolled Lincolns($25.00). Search thru them and you will probably find 5-10 of them.
Best of luck.

You could have saved tine lol and effort if you used something called google as to worth etc.. Also the only to dtermine value is SOLD transactions and sometimes those are questionable.
That's the problem with ebay sometimes. Even when a well-intentioned person seeks information from ebay listings, these nonsensical listings mislead people about value.
You can ask whatever price you want. Look for complete sales for 1940 Lincoln’s on eBay. Coins in the condition of yours and the coin you linked won’t come anywhere near that price. If you’re offered $1 snap it up fast.
