Finally found a coin in the 1800's

I couldn't believe it! Went to a morning club hunt yesterday at a park that's on part of the Illinois river. Found more older coins than I ever have.

    I bought my detector in 2008 and this was my first.

    That highly unlikely to happen in Illinois, although I did find an 1806 George III half penny in Illinois about ten years ago. Illinois didn't become a state until 1818.
