2024 USM packaging for the Morgan dollar - would you be Okay with this cheap shipping product?

JWPJWP Posts: 22,208 ✭✭✭✭✭

I just received 1 of my newly released Morgan dollars from the US MINT. I do not like the plastic bubble bag it was shipped in. It did arrive in good condition (no problem) but I was expecting the studier cardboard box. I called the mint, and they claimed to have no knowledge of this cheaper shipping option. I have some more orders coming with an EDD of Monday
I will see if all the other orders are like this. Has anyone else received a recent mint order in this bubble envelope lately
I just wonder if I may the only person that doesn't like this cheaper and inferior package option Just curious to hear your comments. I may send a couple back just to make sure the US Mint know that IMHO that when they increase prices and go cheap on shipping, it not acceptable with me. Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

I agree. I have 2 more morgans and 3 peace dollars to be delivered ( possibly tomorrow), I hope this delivery is an exception mot the new method of shipping.

Don't like that packaging at all.
You would have to ship that entire package to the TPG to get FDOI or First Strike.

Yes sir, no inside packing at all. just the OGP that morgan was in. Kinda sad that Mint seems to care less and less about quality. they really like jacking up the price and going cheap on the shipping.

I had 6 orders (3 Morgan's & 3 Peace dollars). I had ordered 1 set for a friend and a set for me. A friend that I had ordered for changed his mind and I thought I had canceled the subscription on those 2. 1-Morgan & 1-Peace are going back in the next few days (the mint has a 7 day return policy now). Possibly they only ship single item orders this way . I have always gotten a box and prefer that more secure way. I guess I will have to deal with Mint. I'm not a happy camper. 😬

I just called the Mint. I will have to pay return postage for the Morgan-Peace dollars if I decide to return and I probably will return 2. Customer service said the use of bubble bags AS JUST STARTED ON A TRIAL BASIS (RIGHT0. THEREFORE, IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE SHIPPIN - THEY NEED YOUR INPUT.

I would not return them but suggest that you sell them on BST.

Well, I'm returning 2, have 2 for a friend, and keeping the last 2. Still not happy with the bubble bags they used for shipping. The mint has been informed of my dissatisfaction too.
