Brown box silver Ike dollars - are they worth sending off to be graded?

JWPJWP Posts: 21,998 ✭✭✭✭✭

I have 2-1974 Ike dollars and 1-1971, 1-1972, and 1-1973 IKE brown box Siver Ike dollars. The 74s and the 73-look questionable around the rim and the 71 & 72 look ok. Is there some toning or something else going on with the Ike Dollars. The71, 72, & 73 reverses all look fine. The reverses on the 74s look a little off too. Your opinions would be appreciated. Thanks for looking.

From what I am seeing, please tell us what grades are you hoping to receive if you send them in? To me, buy one in the grade that you want using the amount of the TPG fees. I do not see a coin that would make you a profit over the cost grading fees.
I have been known to be wrong but hey, better safe than sorry. Let us know what you do and the results.

Thanks. I believe the cost of getting these coins graded would not make a lot of sense unless they came back as a 68 or better.
