Again, the 'he should have just complied!' argument rears its ignorant head.

The list of minorities slaughtered by corrupt cops complying is too lengthy to post. Regardless of Hill's behavior, the officer is the one tasked with maintaining his composure, which he failed to do in spectacular fashion. He has been suspended and will hopefully find his rightful place on the unemployment line very soon.

Why people continue to try to deify police officers is stupefying.

all people have to do is comply. even if you think you are right. It is SUPER easy to understand. the time to argue is 100% not when the person you are arguing with is armed and has the power to detain you. the time to argue is later. with the lawyers and such.

Had Tyreek not shown the officer his rear end and complied, it would have been a 10 minute or less interaction that none of us would have ever heard about. instead, he tried to "big league" the officer and act like a jerk.

Anyone who doesn't like my style of debate is free to disengage. There's literally nothing forcing you to reply.

As far as Hill's situation goes, please tell me why, these cops weren't looking for trouble, did THREE units pull him over?

Idealize these lunatics at your own peril. I have not so blind as to realize even if they aren't all bad, staying silent about the bad ones makes you just as bad.

You attack people then you wonder why people attack you. LOOK AT ME LOOK AT ME LOOK AT ME , WHY ARE YOU LOOKING AT ME. DON'T LOOK AT ME LIKE THAT. You got it right when you said SNOWFLAKE. you must of been looking in the mirror.

I don't care what the heck you talk about or your beliefs , but what I do care is when you demean others like you are better than everybody else. IF YOU WANT TO BE RESPECTED THEN RESPECT ALL OTHERS.

I'm thinking the real behind the scenes issue is this character was last to get picked in the kickball game, then laughed out of every bar he ever stepped foot in.

The end result? Furiously starting internet fights with people behind the safety of their computer screen on a daily basis

Pretty simple math, he isn't the first clown to fit that bill here and probably won't be the last.

Next time I get pulled over I'm going to show the officer this thread. Last time was 2005 and my wife says I drive too slow anyways. I just tell her that I understand how time works.

Close relative worked for McLaren Engines in Detroit. Hours were flexible and he worked about 4 pm to 2 am. Would stop by in the evening once a week or so. Usually no one else around. 1980 or 81. McLaren cut a deal with Ford to design a custom Mustang. Over 6 weeks I saw the prototype built in a modestly small area. Hand constructed, piece by piece. Not sure that the McLaren Mustang sold many copies, or was intended to.

    Wish I owned one, though.

The murder of Philando Castille (among others) would prove 'all people have to do is comply' nonsense.

    C a s t i l e

    Philando Castile.

    Don't blame your... phone!

That happened in Minneapolis in the St. Anthony neighborhood. It was terrible and there's no excuse for how the officer, Yanez, and his partner performed their duties from the moment they determined they were going to pull the car over to the end of Philando's life.

This is one of the many exceptions that proves the rule. As someone with a conceal carry, it's important how we interact with officers, because when you do, and you declare that you are carrying you can see how immediately nervous they get. I'm not making any excuses for how Yanez performed his duties - there was no reason to pull this car over in the first place.

My cousin was almost killed in 2003 after being shot during a traffic stop. He survived but left the state patrol after a couple years in administration. I'll show him this thread and tell him it was his fault.

    Glad your Cousin is ok,

There are definitely instances where the Police were 100% in the wrong and literally murdered someone, the past few years it's been pretty clear that Cops are held accountable more so than ever before which is a good thing.

I'm a CCW person as well as retired LE, I would never defend police use of force that wasn't justified however the dynamics of police interactions vary from one situation to the next

To blanket label all police as thugs or all victims being in the wrong is completely ridiculous and not true

The Foxbody mustang, and you're right... it is cool. I think it was 1980.

that is the EXTREME exception to the rule. there are bad apples in every profession. every single one. 99% of the time if you comply with the police you will be just fine.

do you think it is a good idea to show the police your rear end when pulled over and act like a jerk?

    Never mind.

This debate is beyond pointless. Those who deify cops will always blame the victim, regardless of how out of bounds the cops are.

Hill was a jerk. No one is arguing that. That behavior, however, is not grounds to be dragged from his vehicle and thrown in the street over a minor traffic infraction.

May you, a friend, or family member never see this level of police aggression.

nothing wrong with slapping people around. try to avoid video of it though is the key
