What kind of car was Tyreek Hill driving yesterday?

Looked snazzy with the gull wing doors.

That would be my "serious money" buy. Though I would get it in McLaren Orange.

Tyreek was arrested while driving his McLaren 720, as can be seen in videos of the incident. The car is known for its incredible speed, going from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.8 seconds. This matches Tyreek's reputation for speed on the field, which has earned him the nickname "Cheetah."

On NBC news tonight in an interview he was asked how fast was he going? Replied don't know, but it was not 80,70,60. That narrowed it down.

The body cam footage is all over now that it was quickly released. One of the cops was an ass, but he was combative from the start. Wrong doing on both sides. Should have just been a simple speeding ticket

Golfers and receivers should take the bus.

    No clue on that one...

In my younger days I would put my Hot Wheels in a vice and create car accidents...

Wildly different circumstances as the videos show. Sheffler did nothing wrong it was just a bad cop that had a history of being a bad cop

As the videos show Hill was speeding and rightly got pulled over. He didnt lower his window and they knocked on it. His window was even initially down that he rolled up when he got pulled over. His first response was "Hey dont knock on my window like that" and then kept saying it which is when the cop started being an ass because he was being uncooperative. Traffic stops are one of the most dangerous things cops do

The teammates didnt really do anything wrong other than park in the road but the situation was already escalated by then.

Had Hill just rolled his window down and given the cop his license and registration its just a simple traffic ticket and no story.

Lets also not forget theres video of him assaulting someone at a night club and that he was kicked off the Oklahoma State football team for domestic violence against his pregnant girlfriend that he pleaded guilty to.

If he wasnt so good at football he would likely be serving time in jail for past offenses and yea he is responsible for escalating the situation just as much as the cop is if not a little more

Bull!! If the cops were put in administrative leave, this idiot Hill should have been suspended until the investigation is over.

When will some people finally learn that if you simply cooperate with police officers, they will virtually never do anything out of the ordinary.

But sadly some people seem to get some sort of perverse sick thrill over harassing the police. Then complain when they get handcuffed and taken to jail, when that could have all been easily avoided.

I never understood acting like a jerk to a cop. not only is it rude to act the way Hill did, it unnecessarily escalates the situation and could possibly make it a dangerous situation.

if you are stopped/detained by the police, NEVER argue/resist. you will ALWAYS lose and may end up hurt or worse. let the lawyers argue on your behalf after the incident.

There are numerous videos on Youtube of drivers getting stopped by the police for an infraction, which would have simply resulted in a warning or perhaps a relatively small fine.

But then the idiot driver with their big loud mouth or even initiating physical contact with the police officer, escalates the situation whereby it then becomes a felony charge, sometimes multiple felonies.

Even if they beat the felony charges, wait until they receive the bill from their attorney. The bill will be at least ten times more than what the fine would have been.

But equally wise to keep one's mouth shut.

Really an idiot, but Henry Rugg's Jr. saved a decade of time in prison by not consenting to a blood alcohol test after he slammed his Vette into a car at 130 MPH and killed a lady and her dog.

I watched the video for the first time and as expected Tyreek Hill acted like a complete idiot and caused the escalation.

Furthermore the cop is a complete idiot for not backing away from the tinted window when Hill rolled it up in his face, he had no idea if Hill was some felon with a gun pointed at him through the window.

Ripping him out of the car and placing him on the pavement and placing handcuffs on him was unnecessary at that point since there was no visible signs of aggressive behavior and there were 3 cops there to assist.

Honestly I'm glad Hill didn't end up getting shot which was a real possibility now a days.

I don't think the cop should be fired but I would take him off the road for a week and re train him on officer safety and descalation tactics.

Hill caused this escalation without question and of course the escalation takes different paths which usually are not good

Why am I not surprised there is nothing but victim blaming going on in this thread?

Regardless of the attitude Hill displayed, there is NO excuse for a police officer to exhibit the behavior shown in this interaction. These "professionals" are supposed to protect and serve; however, far too often, they do the exact opposite.
There is no training for these thugs - one incident like this should be enough to remove them from the streets permanently.

If rolling up a window during a traffic stop is enough to trigger these snowflakes to fear for their safety, then they should find another line of work.

It has absolutely nothing to do with your views,

it has everything to do with your snarky disrespectful attitude towards nearly everyone here,

You blow in here out of nowhere and immediately name a bunch of good people in your sig line as on your ignore list while calling them ignorant trolls

For the few people you don't have in your ignore list you literally go in the opposite direction in a rude way with a disrespectful tone pretty much in every thread.

I don't get bothered by anyone, but with you I refuse to talk or excuse me argue sports with you unless I'm on the clock at work that way I can at least justify feeding into your combative agenda

@Basebal21 Is a completely different type of guy, you can have solid conversations with him and disagree 100% but without getting the punk attitude in return.

It's great not seeing eye to eye in sports talk, that's what makes it fun by making points and counter points, it's not for everyone because not everyone can be on the same level where you can disagree with someone but respect their point of view

  • Not a call to debate how good or bad police are... but If the police involved were from the Miami-Dade PD then accusations are merited. The entire 1980 Miami-Dade police academy graduating class were killed or indicted. Police were killed if they became too expensive to deal with for the smugglers.
I wouldnt call them thugs but a large number of them did in fact smuggle drugs or do serious crime.

And local police in Florida are bad as well. While I was in Florida the Pembroke Pines Police Department was so corrupt it had to be absorbed by another department.

I think this is a combination of bad cop and bad pro athlete. They both seem like bad eggs.

The substantial truth doctrine is an important defense in defamation law that allows individuals to avoid liability if the gist of their statement was true.

First off, homie, he brings the hate every single time and technically he, himself, organized most of that potential group by advertising the (currently) five members he has on ignore. We all know that list will probably just keep growing considerably within the next day or two.

    What have we become?
Your return (what was it? July 10th?) just happened to coincide with Misfit's decision to drop back onto Sports Talk forum and we literally saw 10-12 threads get closed soon after. I doubt that we had that many closed threads in that entire time that you were gone so we can all see that YOU never changed at all and just came back to share out your own barrage of hate.

Also just an FYI, going private like that just makes you look shady af. 🤣

From what I've watched of the body cam footage and the numerous videos posted online from people driving by, I didn't see anything there from the cops that was out of line. Complaining that there were three cops there like that was somehow unusual is just deflecting from Hill's stupidity that day.
He drove 60 on a 40 mph road, got stopped, was uncooperative and then had multiple teammates get in on the act all while traffic on that road was business as usual. Of course there's going to be multiple patrols called in, that was just common sense. Something that Tyreek Hill was completely lacking that day.

One of the most dangerous situations you can get yourself into is making a cop scared

Anytime I get pulled over I roll my window down all the way and place my arm along the door panel and have my other hand wrapped around the top of the steering wheel. with complete visibility I don't move until the cop asks for licence and registration, I give them what they wNt and both hands go back to where they are.

    Pretty simple concept

If you feel your getting pulled over for BS or the cop is a jerk whatever, compliance is the best way and you can fight it another day

this 100%. when i have gotten pulled over it is the same thing. roll window all the way down. turn off car. both hands in clear view on top of steering wheel. when I am given directions I always verbally mention that my wallet is in my left front pocket before I go for it. keep that officer calm and in control

I am polite and not talkative. yes sir, no sir, I am sorry sir.

and the amazing thing is, I have never been pulled out of a car and put on my face on the pavement.

    just amazing...

why in the world would you EVER roll up a tinted window in a cops face???

    what a stupid move.

what are the cops supposed to do? just forget the traffic stop and mosey on back to their cruisers?

Tyreek escalated the situation which was further escalated by the cops.

that scene was 100% created by Hill

if i'm a police officer and someone refuses to roll down a tinted window when i request it, two thoughts would immediately come to the forefront of my mind:

    1) noncompliance city, which means nothing about this is going to be routine

    2) or infinitely worse, a bullet could be coming through that glass at any moment and end up lodged in my head

if i never stumble across another story about someone refusing to obey an officer's commands and then things going completely sideways, it'll be too soon. i'm so sick of it.
