    Growing up in 50's Brooklyn, schoolkids got the coveted "Bus Pass". Free rides on all buses and trains throughout the five boroughs. NYC was fun to explore. Peace Roy

    Fullerton, California 1955 french fries were 9 cents, paid for with a dime and I got back 1 cent.

    Full size candy bars were only a nickel until the end of 1965. In very early 1966 the price jumped to a dime. I remember buying lots of them at the vending machine in my college dorm.

    All glory is fleeting.
