My progress on my Library of Coins 1904-1915 Barber half album

Been trying to get a nice, original looking circulated set going. Trying for mostly VG-F grades with "the look." It's taking awhile, but it's getting there! Not the best photos (taken from my phone), but they do capture "the look."

Very cool! Tough set with “the look.” 😉

That’s great, definitely the look, which I would describe as gunmetal gray with charcoal highlights. It took me about two years to complete my set, and in spite of that time commitment, only two thirds of mine really have the look. I think you’re at 100 %!

They look great! I’m doing similar but with Wayte Raymond Albums. I think you are further along, I’m going for the same look

Beautiful half dollar set. I’ve considered doing the same. It’s so cool to see coins in an old school album. I bets it’s getting heavy. Well done!

I think it looks great! However, the 13-D isn't dark enough ;) Just teasing.

Looking good! Quite the challenge, especially as you move into F12/15.

Your set looks great. It is challenging to find coins that are problem free in that grade. My first go at this series was in G/VG. I have plans of doing it again in higher grades in the future! Just need the funds and decide on a goal. I think they look great in the XF/AU range

It's always nice to see attractive circulated sets of Barber coinage in vintage folders. Thanks for posting it!

That looks like a fun project. I'm doing something similar with Indian Cents, in EF and AU. Some of the coins are Mint State and certified from my previous collecting efforts, however, and I did buy an EF certified 1877 that is about as good as you are going to find for the grade.

I also put together an Unc, raw short set of Walking Liberty half dollars. I knew I'd have to buy a few certified ones and break them out, which I did.

Sometimes it's fun to walk a bourse and not spend a fortune. The trouble is the pickings are pretty slim among the retail dealers these days. Everything seems to be in auctions. :/

I love this set and built one myself, but mine was VF/EF and complete 1892-1915. It took nearly a decade.

I have this folder, and I finished it, but with lesser grades than yours are. I am starting on the 1892-1903 book next.
